whenever I play the ground is gray but when I go to tribe house I see all the stuff the way its supposed to be.

See the “Options” menu at the bottom, where the Menu, Help, Forum, Cafe, and Fullscreen buttons are?
The one before the Fullscreen and after Cafe is he Options menu.
Click it, and disactivate Minimalist mode, the last option in the list. Then in the next round it should have color again

If Turtles isn't having a problem in the tribe house, I believe it's not minimalist mode.

Minimalist mode is disabled in tribe house so yes, that's what the issue is.
