What is Megaphone?

• Megaphone is one of the fastest ways of communication. It can serve for advertising your room, your tribe and/or your ideas!
• Megaphone can also be used for a lot of different things: Such as announcing your birthday, sharing cool jokes, also proceeding links of really funny images!
• There are many other ways you can use it. You can as well help the Transformice community with it.
How could Megaphone help the community?

• As you know, moderators are getting bunch of reports every single day. As well as the whispers. So you could use Megaphone to announce something really important, such as: Mice with bad behavior (with the name of the room and server), Mice who are using illegal ways to gain cheese (with the name of the room and server) etc. That way mods would clearly see your message!
• Or even maybe take a screenshot of bad mice and post it in megaphone, so that way your message would be more "ingenuous".

Wouldn't mice use that for spreading bad information?

• I highly doubt they would risk their accounts just for a pointless message. If so, it would be desirable to put a filter in megaphone. That way you wouldn't be able to say bad words. And even if you do, your message would come out as: #$%&/& (that was an example)
• But the touchy theme is.. links to inappropriate sites/images. And, I got a solution to that. The new Megaphone would have it's mods. That control the messages. If the content of the message is inappropriate they would "Moderate" it. Example: [MODERATED BY NAME123, reason: inappropriate content].
• I highly doubt someone would spend their money on megaphone just to share bad information and lose their account. The price of one Megaphone will be discussed down below (In comments).
How much would one Megaphone cost?

• The price of one Megaphone would cost 15 fraises or 550 cheese, I personally think it's reasonable but I would like to hear other prices in the comments below as well!

Where would the messages in Megaphone go?

• They would directly go in the chat, as shown in the picture. It's a picture I made, and it doesn't have to look like that.
• Also, you could be able to click on "[Megaphone]" and use the command: Report.
• You could be able to click on User's name and check his profile.
NOTE: This is just my suggestion, I never said it will be made or has to be made!

The price seems a bit too high. Half a thousand cheese for just one message? Why not like 100/200? You can't exactly get that much cheese in a few minutes, but it doesn't take too long either.

I half support because it could get abused, and moderators have got enough to deal with as I see it. Also, to properly moderate a world type of chat, I feel like the message would have to be removed or hidden. Can moderators even do that?

Ps; this kind of reminds me of the Megaphones in MapleStory. xD

I like the idea but moderators do have enough work. Also if the price is going to be that high I think all those cheese and fraises you spend will get you the megaphone till you are banned or you leave transformice for like a year or so and dont log back on in that time. On the other hand this is a really good idea.

First of all, thank you for your comments guys! Now, I do get your point. But I didn't say normal Mods would handle Megaphone, I meant new kind of mods would be hired. Their only duty would be taking care of Megaphone messages, and they would have the privilege of deleting/hiding inappropriate Megaphone message(s). And about the price, I said we should all discuss it in comments. And to be honest, I agree with you Mosh and Music. You're totally right!

Well, imagine if there is a mouse, with a ton of fraises to waste. That mouse could spam something like: REPORT RANDOMAUS, SHE IS A HACKER! I SAW HER HACKING IN BOOTCAMP /REPORT RANDOMAUS FOR HACKING, even if Randomaus was innocent and the rich mouse only wanted to get her banned because she always got first while he got second. Then poor little Randomaus gets unfairly banned, and the rich mouse gets away without even a 1 hour mute.

A whole new group of mods just for some message? Think of how hard it would be to find those mods, let alone have enough for all of the communities. The mods wouldn't even be able to trace where the message came from, because all it would show instead of the mouse's name is [Megaphone] *MESSAGE GOES HERE*
And if they muted the megaphone, then mice who came in after that would spend all that cheese just to find the megaphone is muted.

I personally think mods wouldn't ban a person that easily without any proves. And about the spamming part, why would that "rich mouse" risk his account (with tons of fraises and perhaps cheese) just to spam the chat with false accusations. As I said, if he doesn't have any proves, then it doesn't really count. So his spamming would only lead to a ban/sanction/mute.

It's gonna be chaotic once the price drops down later... I can almost picture the megaphones going "Soulmate needed..."
