i can see what people are typing that are on my ignore list. is this part of the "community platform" bug i hear so much about?

I'd really appreciate it if this got cleared up, as i ignore A LOT of people (pretty much as soon as they say anything offensive, and in a game with this mentality of playerbase that's pretty quick) and i really don't want to see what they type.

alternatively, is there a way to close/minimize the chat completely? i'd rather see nothing at all than the people i've ignored
