Sort of like how when someone says your username it'll make the message yellow, perhaps chat messages of mice under your /watch should be in a notable color as well? I'd recommend the pink used for the soulmate message, since that color is also used to highlight mice under /watch.

edit: Welp, I didn't think that through. Pink would be horrendous. See Shamousey's screenshot for a better option.

It may be the opposite of what you're suggesting here but it has the same effect and is already implemented - mice who you aren't watching will have their chat in a slightly different colour.



Edit: Apparently it's just like this for ingame staff (including mapcrew which I'm one of and hadn't realised it happened for me), presumably so mods can easily keep an eye on people abusing the chat.

It was already implemented once, but it was very bright. Perhaps that pink you're suggesting would be better for messages.

So it was implemented but later removed? I actually like the idea of unwatched people's messages being dimmer better than watched people's being brighter.

It was bloody annoying and an eyesore, that's what's so bad about it. It was a bright pink to match the mouse if memory serves me right.

I like the idea. But Shamousey's because Haruhitastic said it was eye bloody. It looked like that in the screenshot.
