But if it gets deleted, what's the problem? The moderator would be doing the same thing essentially.

If there is an issue, and someone deletes their post, what is really deleted is the evidence. I do believe a moderator cannot hand out warnings, etc. without enough proof.

Do moderators even give warnings and bans for the cafe.. I thought they just remove the posts.

I think editing would be fine but removing a reply entirely would be a no-go. Like the forums.
