Hello, I'm playing this game for over 4 years and I've got around 103'000 shaman saves. My idea is simple and I'm pretty sure there was someone who had it before me:
  • categorize maps intended for single shaman in terms of difficulty,
  • allow new players (with <1000 saves?) to learn basic game mechanics on some of vanilla or very easy custom maps,
  • allow "veterans" to choose if they want to get same maps as other mice or play only the harder ones.
  • You can also think about the introduction of missions for small amount of cheese, fraises or maybe event items. "Save 100 mice today to get 5 fraises" sounds cool, doesn't it? I think it would attract more attention to do your shaman job right rather than trolling all day. Because there are a lot of trolls in rooms I usually play. Meli, you visit these rooms sometimes too, so you should know better =).

When I'm already visiting forum I would like to ask you to get your shit together and do something about category "mechanism maps". Sometimes it surely requires shaman to allow mice getting cheese, but most of the time it's 100% racing map and any help from shaman just ruins the hole gameplay experience.

I've got no problem with this, could be useful.

You do realize that would be giving away free fraises, right? That's in the do not suggest list. However, I think missions would be pretty cool so long as fraises are not a possible reward.

I have to agree with this. I get these mechanism and racing maps very often and it just makes me frown, because to me, there's no point of shamaning them. I don't like to treat mice like babies and help them with things that they can do on their own, and sometimes I feel like a good portion of them expects this from me. I like to try and build when I'm the shaman, but when it's a mechanism map, like you said, building would likely just ruin it, or if it's a racing map, even though I can build, there's just no motivation because I don't feel needed at all. It would be great if we could specify that we don't want to shaman these maps or something, or to just remove the shamans from them all together.

All in all, /half support because of the fraise suggestion.

Anyone who knows me can tell you I don't care about badges, titles and new clothes, because I'm using same shit for something like 2 years.

From my own experience with other free-to-play games I know how "missions" generally work - you get small amount of premium stuff and after a while you realise it's very useful so you spend real money to get more. It's pretty much how drug business works and as you know it's doing fine. If drug dealer would give you lollipops for free instead of drugs it wouldn't work ;)

/halfsupport, what Music said

This is a mouse game, not a drug store.

Also, it's still on the "Do Not Suggest" list

Do Not Suggest list a dit :
Free cheese, fraises, or items.
Cheaper fraises or items.

From the games I've played that give out premium currency like this, it just makes me depend on the missions and never want to buy it.

this tbh
would be fine with letting the newer people getting to choose their map, but not with the fraises reward.

That's your own personal opinion, which I respect, but I don't see what it has to do with this suggestion and the fact that free fraises have been denied countless times.

I get the feeling you're comparing Transformice to an MMORPG game, which Transformice is not. Fraises are used for cosmetics, and while they are certainly great to have (personal opinion) they are not exactly useful in the sense of gameplay. On top of that in most MMORPG games these premium things are strictly premium which means you can't get them any other way other than paying with real money, while in Transformice you have the choice of earning the items by playing the game. This is why I think that you don't exactly need to try out the fraises before buying them, I mean you can just collect a bunch of cheese and see if you find it worth it to spend money on fraises. (Since most people buy fraises because they don't have the time or just don't want to save up on cheese).

And on top of all that fraises are Atelier's main income and according to what I've been hearing lately they aren't exactly in the best financial situation. I doubt they will be giving out fraises any time soon, if at all, and honestly I don't think they should need to. They need money to keep the game alive and if free fraises were given out that would lower their income for sure. If their financial situation gets better in the future and they decide to give out some fraises I think that would be incredibly generious but for the time being it's just a big no.

Also I feel a little uncomfortable with the fact that you're using drug-dealing as a comparison here..
