Curve Grounds |

I think you should be able to curve grounds in Map Editor so you don't have to have multiple grounds making a curve. I think this would really enhance the game. Dernière modification le 1416087420000 |

Can't you just use the circle ground |

You mean like, be able to curve the original grounds? Like the grass and water? That would be pretty funky.. :P /support Dernière modification le 1416490380000 |

I mean there would be a curve option in selector which would make it so you curve the ground when you click and drag. Circles can't do this because someone might want to have an indentation in the circle or something. |

actually this could save grounds instead of using 5 or 10 grounds to make a curve, we could use one and curve it to the way we want it support |

Maybe in the XML there would be like curve="y=ax^2+bx+c" (quadratic equation) were it would make the ground a parabola, which is just a curve. You would plug in the a, b, and c for the curve. |

Thanks for all the support! I think it should just be rectangle grounds though so the admins don't have to do some crazy stuf with the textures of the other grounds. |

Now this is a suggestion I can get behind. Shaman maps I played mostly stuck with square and rectangle cages because it is near impossible to create a decent circle map without using a bunch of grounds. With this implemented, someone would surely play around with it without being hindered by the ground limits. Graphics are no concern in my opinion. If you need a wood curve ground then you can just hide the curve ground and apply a wood rectangle. After that is a matter of shaping the rectangle in accordance with the curve ground which can be exponentially less taxing. Or, the admins can just import the texture ground then crop a simple circle around it and call it done. The grounds already distort at a faster rate than it stretches. I have no idea how this suggestion got so far from the first page. I think this is a really good idea. |
