Set Standard of Rules |

So like I recently got this ban which I do accept cause I did make a mistake. but I would like to mention something. TFM really has no set of exact rules. So like mods have to use their own which can cause controversy. One might forget about hacking, while one could ban you 1 hour just for a simple "fuck" cuss. Tbh, TFM should really consider using a set of rules and a reasonable punishment for each so that it's not about reputation that gets you banned or not, but about whether you've commited an infraction Support Shadowskunk Lilytenten Iialiciaii Dernière modification le 1418181240000 |

satash a dit : How can it be more 'explained'? What does 'vague' mean? And how are people 'guessing' the rules? O.o |

lilytenten a dit : "vague vāɡ/ adjective of uncertain, indefinite, or unclear character or meaning. "many patients suffer vague symptoms" synonyms: indistinct, indefinite, indeterminate, unclear, ill-defined; More antonyms: clear, precise, firm thinking or communicating in an unfocused or imprecise way. "he had been very vague about his activities" synonyms: imprecise, rough, approximate, inexact, incomplete, nonspecific, generalized, ambiguous, equivocal, hazy, woolly "a vague description"" Basically like some mods could mute you for a simple fuck cuss while other mods wouldn't care about homophobic language. A set standard of rules would be much better so that people who commit more serious offenses are treated fairly |

There is a hidden, set standard for punishment that you can't see. You're suggesting something that already exists. |

I got banned 1000 hours for trolling a year ago, and I'm still secretly pissed about it. I was votebanned in a valentines suicide room. /support! |

haruhitastic a dit : Perhaps the OP is implying for the 'set standard for punishment' to be posted somewhere that all users can access. |

shadowskunk a dit : I was banned 360 hours for not knowing how to make this pikachu picture my avatar... I posted it in every post I made thinking that's how I made it my avatar, and then I got banned for it... And it said this, to make it worse; "You've been muted for this multiple times before. Please stop adding the pikachu picture to every post your make. If you really like the picture, consider using it as your avatar." And I truly had thought it was my avatar.... :( I feel like I was muted for not knowing something... which makes me feel horrible. It makes me feel like I was tricked.... :( I think (along with this) that we need a tutorial on how to get an avatar when you enter the forums for the first time. It should also be acessable at any time. |

Yeah the rules for the game are hidden within the forums and such. I completely believe there should be a place somewhere inside the game with a big button that says RULES so people know what the rules are. I've seen plenty of fights over what the rules are, mostly about how the game is 13+ or how box/anvil gods are against the rules, and I think they should have every rule listen somewhere inside the game itself that is easy to see and access. /support |

iialiciaii a dit : Yea. That would help a lot. :D Also, I just saw in the [Gameplay] ☢ Mouse Traps ☢ Suggestion Thread one of my old posts... One where I thought that if I post an image in my post, it's my avatar. :'( |

If only there was some stickied post telling you what you can and cannot do... If you are not sure about anything, you can post in the Q&A thread (After you look and read the stickies). Some rules in-game are enforced and others are not. Swastikas and Anvil Gods are frowned upon and can get you banned in more populated rooms versus some room between you and your friends. The forums are more closely watched because it is easier than prowling every room that is near infinitely vast. |

inthebin a dit : We are talking about in-game rules not forum rules. 99% of tfm players do not read the forums or even know what they are or how to get to them. The game rules should be somewhere inside the game itself, not in the forums. |

Well the "Forums" button is right there. It will take you to the Discussion page and right on the top is the comprehensive and tailored Q&A, if that does not do anything then I do not know what will. Someone is always around to answer questions to the best of their ability. As for in-game rules, there are standards held up by the staff. However there are some rules that creates a bunch of double standards and it is mostly done on discretion which I can understand your concern comes from. Like I said too, some rooms are more enforced than others. If you feel a ban or mute is uncalled for, you can always try and get an appeal against the person that gave you the ban or mute. The general rule though is to treat people the way you want to be treated. If someone tells you to stop then respect that. Dernière modification le 1418167140000 |

knicksfans a dit : Are you seriously gonna report everyone that swears or somethin' that you feel is not "Moderated enough"? Like I said again, if you feel bans or mutes are unjustified you can always look for an appeal. This is between you (and/or your group) and the moderator and no one else. The only people that are affected by people that offend you is the people that let them get to you. On the other side, a lot of things are needed in this game regarding tutorials, instead we are getting a bunch of new things. How about you start with a rundown list of what should be moderated and what can be expected as a consequence. Dernière modification le 1418182740000 |
