![]() Moderators and staff will only have access to this hidden feature which is visible only to them. Filter will be checked or unchecked. It will behave exactly like the already built-in filter system except the offender cannot turn it off unless the moderator or staff says so. The filter will also keep track of how many times the offender repeats the offense. Repeated offenses will trigger an auto-mute feature that work on intervals of the set hours (2 hour means it starts at 2 hour mute, then 4 hours, then 6 hours, etc...). The note feature will be custom-tailored to the offender and the moderators or staff using it can see what the offender tried to do next to bypass the filter. I feel like this can reduce a lot of work for Moderators that constantly handles "Foul language" reports. Edit: Just realized I used the forum format. I hope you got the idea though? okay but explain how it'd recognize context on certain words like if i say the word "fuck" a lot in a post, and come back from a mute, i don't want to be remuted just because i said "fuck" once in a really long post, and i was quoting someone or providing an example (such as this post!) same for in game tl;dr it wont work |

Well by default, the feature will be turned off until you get cited for "Foul language". So while the feature is turned off, you will not get muted automatically. Perhaps the citation can have a expiration date so moderators and staff do not forget they have someone on toggled filter. Also: "Repeated offenses will trigger an auto-mute feature that work on intervals of the set hours (2 hour means it starts at 2 hour mute, then 4 hours, then 6 hours, etc...)." I can reword it to "Repeated word filtering" if it makes it more understandable. This suggestion is more for long-term handling of people that do use excessive language so it may work or it may not. I am also aware that the forums do hold up to at least PG-13 standards so I can understand some people doing mild swearing for emphasis on matters. Dernière modification le 1419215880000 |

You really didn't answer the point I had. If I'm muted once for this, which triggers this checkbox, and I use the F word in the context of whether it should be permitted or not and I get muted.... yeah. |

I am not sure what your point is so I will break it down in simpler terms so we can understand each other: The first mute is done by moderator or staff. All other mutes will be done automatically. After a mute, you can swear here and there but if it "Detects" you are going overboard, it will deliver auto-mutes. "Detects" is kind of vague and I am still curious about what constitutes "Too much swearing". But saying one "Fuck" will not make it go crazy. There are rough edges in some corners and that is what I can hopefully try and solve. Dernière modification le 1419218640000 |

Frankly I don't see any need for this. The vast majority of forum reports is "double post". Insults can easily and more reliably be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. So yeah, the most straightforward way to reduce our workload is to auto-merge posts already. |

I think this is a good idea for those people that like to swear excessively for on reason and annoy people. I don't see it as a good reason to mute since there is a limit to the ignore list, but they really need to be punished for it because it it unnecessary and rude to all the other players, making some people not want to play anymore. /support |
