Should public accounts be banned?

Ok, I will admit that I have used public accounts before. I felt like a "noob" and I wanted a profile with awesome stats. That phase is now over, and I see public accounts doing er.... disturbing things, especially on the cafe nowadays.

I do understand that you can ban IP addresses, but now I'm starting to wonder, why are there just some floating accounts here for random people to use? They give others a sense of false accomplishment with having this "pro" account and it somehow gives them the right to be able to do whatever they would like to do. There are some horrifying things on the cafe done by public accounts on the EN2 server. I have seen some extremely terrifying and inappropriate profile picture and horrible screamer links posted by publics. If you're asking how to find the public accounts, there are dozens of youtube videos/websites.

Your account's your own responsibility and if you end up with a perm because of your own stupidity giving your password to others that's nobody's fault but your own. And it's not like these things can't be down on your own account.. public accounts just give a false sense of security that people can avoid bans.

Yeah i'm sick of this ''GET OFF OF MY ACCOUNT!!!'' and people saying my account is theirs so.ban them

My vote is Yes. People tend to log in to someones account because of the feeling as having something, that someone had. But because of the public accounts, it usually ends up in hacking / spaming, because many people think like "Hah, this is not my account, let's try out some hacks".

But people can do these things on their own accounts or on an alt. So what difference does it make?

The difference is when you're using something that is not yours (in this case an account), most of the time you are more careless and wreckless than when you use something that is yours and yours only.

I think public accounts should be banned. They serve no purpose other than negative ones.

I vote yes, people can be extremely irresponsible when in the position of a possibility to use a public account.

my reason: I really hate how they act like public acc is his or hers
even i hate how they say that i hacked but i dont hack.

Well that the reasons. Also I used to have the acc but it became public acc so i ignore it.

I agree and I can get that, but let's face reality... it takes like four seconds to make a new account? How many hackers have you seen on accounts with 0 or 1 cheese. :p So unless you take steps in permitting users x accounts logged into..

Public accounts seem more commonly used to be jerks on forums; such as gore/porn spam on BR and ES, and then a lot of ENs have used them to be rude and insulting to others.

I think public accounts should stay, not because people can do whatever they want on them, but because they can (and should) be moderated just like regular players. What I think should happen, is if a public account becomes noticed and reported, they should be permanently muted, maaaybe whisper, and that goes for all public accounts, whether or not they're being abused. I say this because multiple people use these accounts, it's kinda like a guest experiencing a "pro" account. Don't you agree? You can't really say that public accounts are different because people can troll in-game, even a souris can do that.

I think they should stay, their IP can be banned and it's the original account's owner's fault that they let their account go in the open.

In my view they should stay. Im super busy so its hard to get on transformice alot and gather cheese. I also do not wanna buy fraises. I personally use my account but other people might wanna have a tiny hope and go on the account and it might become theres. I wouldnt wanna crush there dreams.

i personally hate dealing with public accounts- especially when it's an owner trying to get the account back. it's an unneccessary pain to have to handle.
also stats are pretty much unimportant to me so the reasoning that someone wants a high level account just to log in with is ridiculous.
