A couple of suggestions in survivor regarding similar issues. I have not been around TFM for a while now, so please inform me if things have changed.

• Meep Abuse -
Meep was created to rid the Shaman of huggers. But what many Shamans do is they get it charged up, run over to the mass of mice, and meep. Or, if a mouse is climbing, the Shaman will go over and meep them down for an instant kill. This is quite annoying to many mice and abusive of the power (because we can't even see it coming). Although this will not completely resolve the issue, I believe it will help.

Suggestion: A mouse must be closer than shaman spawn range for at least 5 seconds at one time before a meep is available.

• Noob Totems -
I call them that, as do many others. Totems with a hundred cannons. Generally no way of dodging unless you hug the Shaman. Just plain unfair to the mice. Just as annoying as in regular gamemodes. Rarely though, cannons can be helpful in totems for those who aren't trying to troll. So here's the suggestion.

Suggestion: Reduce the number of cannons available in one totem.

Full support! I really hate when the shaman comes and use meep, as i know, and most of us do, meep is only for the mice who hug, but the shaman is not using it that way.. He's the one that comes and meep us. ;-;

And for the totems, i agree, people use them for survivor, they make it full of cannons, and it'd be a lot fair and better if the totems get removed from survivor. It's not the totem's job to kill us, no. It's the Shaman's job to kill us.

Full support!!

I've always hated ideas to remove the meep and totem completely from survivor. But with this, it can still be used and not abused!!

He never said he'd remove the totems. He said, he'd reduce the amount of canons used on a totem in survivor.

Because of that, I support him. I will never support the removal of totems in survivor.

I know that he/she just said to reduce the number of the cannons in the totem, but it'd still be better if they removed the totems from survivor (my opininon). And i say again, it's not the totem's job to kill us, it's the shaman's job..

And for the totem, (when you use it in vanilla/normal maps) when you have a totem with lots of cannons in it, it's just trolling. Trolling is part of the game.

one of you two tell me how you're supposed to survive a solid wall of cannons besides sheer luck/hugging the shaman.

support, even though i'm never in survivor anymore.

Sorry for the late reply.

I understand where all of you are coming from, and I used to use the same statement myself. Trolling is a part of the game. But even though mods don't ban for it, does that make it okay? If somebody goes on Minecraft and destroys everything someone has created, that may bring them joy, but at the cost of the maker's happiness. It basically disrupts the natural gameplay, which is why I've come to hate it as much as I hate lag. Lag does the same thing, it disrupts the natural gameplay. And you can't really do anything about it.

So enough of that, all I want to do is try to make it more of a balanced gamemode. Having a wall of cannons come at your face is like giving someone a rocket launcher to knock down (or... Explode) all of the pins in a bowling ball game. (Yes, I do have strange examples) and allowing people to go over to mice and meep without notice, I dislike because you always see what the shaman will spawn and where they will spawn it, which is why survivor works. If every shaman could insta-spawn cannons, we would have no chance.

Another issue arises from this. When a shaman is spawning a totem, your instinct (at least, mine) is to get right where that feather is. Because if it's a cannon totem, your basically screwed. Unless you hug. Cannon totems, I have found, ENCOURAGE hugging. Even to those who try so hard to avoid it.

Also, since shamans have meep and you don't know when they will use it, players (at least I) will often go right on top of the shaman if stuck on a small platform with the shaman and nowhere to go. Before meep was around, I would always go as far to the edge as possible to give the shaman room to spawn and give both sides a fair game, but now with meep, it's either stand on top of the shaman and be meeped to a safe area, or be meeped (when standing to the side of shaman) to death. Again, I've been encouraged to hug. Of course, my suggestion does not really cover this faulty aspect of Meep, but I just wanted to point this out.

If I have anything more to add I will, but thanks for the feedback! Constructive criticism is always welcome :)

I support

Reason: Meep (In my opinion they should just delete the meep then to escape the huggers just find or make a platform a high platform)
EDIT:Cannons walls go through me for some reason

Maybe they should just disable meeping altogether. Maybe they could just make it such that mice who stand extremely close to the sham for about 5s get killed instantly. Of course, this'd be off during some maps with small platforms.

Another thing is the use of lead cannons (a mechanican upgrade that makes cannons heavier) to kill more easily...I'm guilty of it myself. Imagine the havoc this would wreak when coupled with 100-cannon totems and, gods forbid, the customised glass cannons.
