Erm? Someone who chats too much? What does that have to do with a noob?
And none of those.
We were all noobs, and there are still new players that are joining, but most of us will learn how to wall-jump, build, get firsts, etc, and that's because we try and train for those.

I don't agree, we're all noobs in some sense because unless you're the best in the game worldwide and it is confirmed then someone will be better than you making you a noob to them. I consider being a noob as someone is who is not as good at the game in general. Because the "best" can't really be determined everyone is noob because some can beat them in some aspect of the game.

Honestly if it was just that, then why would people use it as an insult? No. I think what you're describing is simply a newbie. A noob is someone who doesn't know much about something or is bad at it, but thinks or acts like they are good at it when they aren't.

Newbies are generally willing to improve upon their skills and knowledge of the things they are new to, quite unlike noobs.

It doesn't make much sense to me why someone would think noob and newbie are the same.. Sure, the words look similar, but if noob just meant you were new to something, why would people use it as an insult so widely? Why would simply being new to something be enough to form an insult? There's more to that, and that's why I think noob and newbie are very different derms. And that's why even people who aren't new to something, can be noobs.

ETA: I'm sure there are different kinds of noobs from the one type I had described, but generally noob is just a very derogatory term and it's, in my opinion, way too negative to be assigned to all people who are new to something.

People who have less stats than me sometimes bully me. But usually it's the ones who have more stats bully me.

Lately I've been called 'noob' a lot, sadly.
But to be honest, it's immature to call others 'noob'. It makes themselves (those who call others noob) 'noobs'. XD

I got used to that already. A lot of people get called a noob in a day.. even that the person that got called noob is pro-er than the other one.

I never stated my interpretation of a noob as the definition. I'm quite sure the "noob" we're all familiar with is an urban term so "noob" doesn't necessarily have a definition besides a simplistic base; someone who is not as good as others in the game, and because of the word lacking a definite definition no one can really say what most noobs do or don't do because we don't know exactly what a noob is.

The word could have different meanings depending on one's interpretation. I was simply stating what I consider a noob, hence the title name, "Who would you consider a n00b?". Not "Who is a n00b?"

My point was that even though noob is sometimes referred to as someone who's new, it's generally used as a derogatory term and, that in most cases I don't think it's fair to call everyone who's new a noob. I didn't say my "definition" was the only correct one either, I was simply expressing my views, hence why I said "that's why I think newb and noob are different terms."
