Karma Uses? |

Not many people aware but the game has a Karma system in place, which currently has no use apart from to look pretty for those who like big numbers. It was designed in mind that when you got banned or muted it'd lower your karma, but that idea was scrapped. The only current way that I know of to gain Karma is if you /report someone and they're banned for the offenses that they did. So why not give some kind of benefits towards the report feature. This is without making anything game breaking but makes it easier for people who are actually reporting people who are breaking the rules of the game. A simple thing that could be added is that when you reach X amount of Karma. (50+) if you were to send a report, it would be sent instantly to an online moderator, instead of having to wait for X amount of people to report someone. It's pretty difficult to get X amount of people to report someone, as if you call it in public chat, the person will log off and then it's hopeless to get them banned. It also sucks when you report a hacker but nothing is done because no one else in the room is reporting them. (This happens to me A LOT in bootcamp) I'm not the greatest at writing threads and/or ideas and it can probably be improved upon, but I think it's a good base idea that can be improved via the community if given the chance. Good Quotes that provide feedback will be added here. :D Shamousey a dit : Dernière modification le 1426470000000 |

Smart idea in theory, but people will probably abuse it. :/ |

I don't see how it's easily abused if the Karma amount is set high enough. Because of the only way of gaining Karma is to report people and for the reported person to be banned, it's pretty hard to gain. I'm only at 81 Karma and I know some others who play a lot more bootcamp who have around 90-110 Karma. It's not something that's easily gained, plus I'm sure if a player is abusing the report function then perhaps add a counter measure to reduce said players Karma and/or punish them for doing so. |

If you go to BR bootcamps, it's easy to gain a lot of karma. Also, doesn't it only take 2 people to /report for it to show up to mods? |

Honestly I think this would be a good use for the karma system and definitely help out in a lot of situations where people who are proven to make proper reports find a rulebreaking player. Even if it were just something like these reports showing up on the top of the mod's report list, I can see it being useful. |

Luxurz a dit : Yes it only takes 2 reports, but that's a hard feat to accomplish in any bootcamp room if you don't have friends. Most people in the room don't speak English and if you call it out in public chat, the hacker will log off and then it's impossible to prove they were hacking |
