Election System Discussion

Today, Zou created a new Board in Transformice's Trello: "Election System". This board is in "In Progress" and this will serve to elect mayors and presidents of Transformice. What? Presidents and mayors? YES!

What should we expect on this new system? What do you think? Say!

Sounds like a cool idea. Not sure how it's going to work. I guess there'd be an election then people can/would have to click a box and type in a username out of the following people who want to be president/mayor and then click like, submit I guess...

Seems cool, but there should be a limit to 1 president and maybe 1-3 mayor(s) for each server/community, so there won't be a flood of BR mayors and/or presidents.

Trello is an incredible tool we've been using for a few weeks at Atelier 801. It's a management application allowing us to represent all our projects into boards which contain each a task list (in the form of cards). We can then assign some of us to each card and follow the development of every project with a single look.

We've now decided to create a public board to share our projects with YOU.

I think Tinittee posted A801's Trello page link on the main post, too.

I'm just worried that the 'pro' players out there will get their loads of followers to elect them. The people all voting for the 'pro' have no idea that he/she is a jerk to others and only sees them as perfect. This will result in a president and mayors that are unfavorable to everyone other than the 'pro' and his/her followers. The no-names like the rest of us will have no chance at becoming either of these positions because we have nobody to vote for us, even if we are on quite often and are nice to everyone.
Plus this will result in massive amounts of people spamming the chat with "VOTE FOR -enter username here-!!!"

Not sure how people are lambasting a feature whose details haven't even been released publicly yet... talk about jumping the gun. Maybe it'll suck or maybe it won't, but perhaps we could avoid jumping to conclusions almost immediately.
