Transformice Needs to Get Their Act Together... |

They really do... The game and the community is kind of a train wreck going in the wrong direction. The profiles are a wreck. They added survivor stats. This might not be so bad if it was in view and did take up almost everything with fancy imaging and crap. Are there titles with this? No. Do the other stats get a nice progress bar til next title? No. Are the goals of the progress bar very obscene? Yes. We need lots of profile remodeling. Maybe tabs on the top, one for stats, one for inventory, maybe a fancy up close veiw of the mouse's outfit would be something nice to look at. Maybe ratio included in the profile to shows how pro someone really is, and maybe even a global leaderboard in-game. (Instead of the faulty system CFM has) The filter is quite a mess. Yes they have a filter, a very bad one. Back in ye olde it wasnt needed, but when your target audience is now around 10, you need something better than this crap. Filter with stars*, detects curse words with prefixes and end-fixes (what are they called?) . Detects symbols in place of others ( like 1 as I, so you cant do sh1t). Make parental controls via email so a parent can edit chat and what the child can read/send, but giving you total power if you have your email in/confirm your age. Right now, chuldren are being revealed to pornography, vulgar, and painfully rude language. If there are conflicting censors, the mice can list them in the update thread and have them pulled out. Even taking a minecraft server filter would be superior to this old one. (Note the filter would be placed in other language servers too) Vanilla is quite a wreck. Remember when vanilla could have updise down maps, maps with physically impossible tricks, and randomized duel shamans? That is when it was good. Vanilla is now bland, with luck deciding if you need to place a plank down, or to make a complex build. We need randomizations back. Sometime the map is upside down, sometimes the cheese and the hole swap, sometimes its soulmate and sometimes its collision (only when viable of course). And depending on your shaman level, you can get different maps and randomizations. Also make new maps, bring back old ones, make more unique maps (like catch the shaman or duel fights), and take it out of normal mode so it feels more special. The tutorial is a wreck. The one when you first make an account, the horrible oneSo many damn shamans dont know what to do because of the horrible tutorial system. There isnt a real way to figure out how to make anchors without asking the mice in the room or clicking on the online tutorial (which nobody ever does), and it is always very frustrating to the mice in the room, and extremely discouraging to the shaman when the mice are screaming noob, all because of the horrible tutorial... Please fix it up. Add a cute animated mouse that talks to you (somewhat like animal jam's tutorial), give them an interactive shaman tutorial to do map 0 and to learn anchors, and let them on their merry way. There are so many other things that I could rant in a paragraph that Transformice can so easily fix, things that will improve the game dramatically, but have never been brought up/the devs are lazy. This game runs off of Fraisie money and Ad revenue (which isnt much compared to othr games), and they arent greedy in the slightest, but just seem more lazy. List of them -Items in shop take too long to get, especially skins -Some bootcamps are obscene. If not even 20 mice can get halfway through in 6 minutes, the map shouldnt be here -The game is based off addiction (Harder to fix though) -Luck based shaman. You can get a dice map that kills everyone, or something you dont need to do anything for the mice to easily beat. -Too small of Moderator staff. They can barely breathe with all the spam and we need more mods. (Or reveal some undercover ones) -Boring and repetitive after a while. Possibly take some really popular modules and make them gamemodes (specifically Deathmatch and Bafflua) -Too much constant lag and server breakage I repeat. Tranformice, get your boots on the ground and make this game more enjoyable for the beginners, the social lives, the poor wifi mice, the addicts who cant get away, and for everyone who knows something is missing from the game... We need a good change... A dev that can get up, slap himself in the face, and code for the mice. Most people know Transformice as "Club penguin with Homestuck and porn"... Lets end that please. |

Hpocks a dit : Yes, please! I really think that a proper game tutorial would do wonders for our currently very hostile community. The new people would be happy because they wouldn't be thrown into the role of the shaman with absolutely no training or preparation, and the people who have a mental breakdown if they miss one cheese wouldn't have to have those breakdowns so often. It was extremely unpleasant to be a new shaman 4.5 years ago when most people were still only starting out so I can't imagine how people who are just starting out today must feel. An interactive shaman tutorial is long overdue, and it really should have happened before the Steam release :/ On the same note, if we ever get a real tutorial it should include a breakdown of basic game features, especially how to use commands like /silence and /ignore. These commands are absolutely necessary if you're going to enjoy this game in peace and yet I feel like there are a lot of players who do not know about them, especially /silence as I don't think it's currently mentioned by name anywhere in the game. Something about how to report, what to report for, and maybe even how to reach a mod if you're having issues with other players would be great additions as well. (And I totally agree with everything else you had to say, too) |

a dit : You're welcome to speak to Sourdough about that, however I'm not seeing what the faulty thing is? a dit : Work on the filter was started in mid 2011, actually. Also, there is no "target audience." You may THINK there is, but there isn't a target audience at all. a dit : They're meant to be expensive so you can work towards them. Most everything is easy to get. a dit : Report a P3+ is ready when you are. a dit : ??????????????? isn't that every game a dit : Here's the P0/P1 equivalent a dit : They just hired some mod trainees, be patient. a dit : And then people will be bitching about the changes there. No thanks. a dit : Well, you go work on that then Mr. Programmer since you seem to know so much. The servers haven't been stable, yeah; but it's way better than before, and they smooth out pretty qiuckly. a dit : I personally, as Homestuck trash, take offense to this. |

I am in school ATM, so I cant make fancy quotes, so I will just respond in order... 1- By "faulty" I mean you can have 80% of your cheese be firsts, but you have 20% of your rounds being cheese (statpadding making you look good). I have made a CFM thread about it, got support from a few people, but it was never mentioned by Sourdough and I can never get a hold of him/her anyways. 2- Sorry, bad wording here. The nitpicking here though really makes the idea look bad as a whole (Ill talk about that later), and nitpicking is almost a trigger on me... Hope you glued your desk to the ground, 3- When less than 60,000 people had ever gained enough cheese to ever buy a skin, it seems kind of expensive. I really appreciated the update where you started out with 100 cheese, but personally that coudlve been more. This is again nitpicking (considering it is irrelevant to the main block of text), and might make the TL DR be upset at me... 4- You cant preempt a map being instakill.. reporting the maps that come by isnt going to remove the other 20,000 troll maps. Again quoted from the bottom part, so bleehsdfs 5- 5 Months is a little long to wait... I can accept it.. but it is a little long. 6- Got any better ideas? lol 7- I personally get spikes of lag and low framerate for up to 3 hours after servers come back... must be my side... 8- I personally dont mind Homestuck, but when people are roleplaying about 'The Love Juice Factory', It makes the fandom a bit less enjoyable... Do you have any positive/negative regards to the *cough* main idea that was *cough* the main thing in the thread? The last section was more of a "To be possible thouroughly explained at a later date probably not" thing... I feel that you take a negitive to the main thing because you take nitpicking to the minor part that doesnt quite matter. Is that true? Not to be rude, I just dont want a thread being ruined by nitpicking (Especially since your a sentitnal) |

hpocks a dit : I've not been one of those since 2011.. I'm not negative against your main points at all... not really, anyway. I agree with the profile and I hope to see it edited soon. I also agree that vanilla is a bit boring and grindy. The filter as it stands can just use some minor tweaks, but I don't see a point in there being an Animal Jam-esque control panel for a game that's meant to be for children older than thirteen. As for the tutorial, there's a new one coming soon. Also as a side note, please don't use trigger in that way; a trigger is something that deeply upsets or makes someone relive bad memories (or cause them to have panic attacks, et cetera); not something that pisses you off. |

Haruhitastic a dit : Even if it is meant for over 13, it obviously isnt in this day in age... By "age verification" which I used in the main post, I meant after the update it says "Yo wutz yo age etc." and if you choose >13, you are set to go... By the time you learn that your going to be limited if you chose below, you already have to obey the rules or make a new account... That obviously sounds harsh, but IMO 11 should be the set age... I was 12 last year, and I would be pretty mad if this crap was is the way... but maybe not so much with the 10 year old.. just my 2 cents. Thanks for your contribution though :D |

I get that there are things you would like to correct some things and it is great to inform. Why don't you post in suggestions thread instead of ranting about your problems? You can't just customize the game however you want. Some people want the challenge of earning fur, and some love having thosse luck maps just for fun. You can't make it how you like it. I know there are glitches they need to fix but you can be polite about it? You don't control the game and I get you are trying to be mature about this but you seem to have said many things that seem to your fixations. Glitches=yes ok but don't rant. Furs and other things you want= no no rant no nothing |

hpocks a dit : My impression is that the entire badge system is a cop out of adding actual new titles for new achievements and stat categories. Unique rewards for minigames like survivor and racing, however, are something that were awaited for as long as those minigames were official. As far as your complaint about the top achievements for each category being "obscene", I don't really see the point. These achievements aren't even comparable to the existing top titles for several stat categories. In any case, players aren't entitled to have every single in-game reward handed to them. hpocks a dit : How about, instead of having parental controls that literally pander to the animal jam crowd, add something that reminds people that this game is not in fact animal jam, and has a different target audience and different rules? Such as, idunno, a proper registration page? hpocks a dit : My main complaint with current vanilla is that the maps, including those that were added as recently as a year or two ago, don't even attempt to be remotely on par with what's expected of permanent map categories in normal rotation. I understand that a key aim of vanilla is to have simpler maps that are more suited for newer players but most of the recent batch of maps are neither simple nor newbie-friendly, just plain awful, inexcusable gameplay design, and show how badly Atelier 801 is in need of a halfway competent map maker. hpocks a dit : A more effective tutorial is apparently something that was scheduled two years ago but for who knows what reason never got off the ground beyond a mention that it was "coming soon". hpocks a dit : While it's somewhat understandable that things like furs and colors are more time-consuming to get cheese-wise, more recent additions to the shop, such as shaman items, all come with stupidly overbloated prices that just scream "buy fraises now!!!" at you. That isn't a good way for A801 to make money, and there are far better options available for promoting fraise purchases without entirely discouraging mice to ever spend their cheese in the shop. hpocks a dit : The thing about bootcamp is, no one is entitled to complete a map. The whole point of the mode is that it challenges you. If you can complete a map, good for you. If you can't, you can still practice it so that one day you'll complete it. hpocks a dit : Not sure what's that supposed to imply, or what your proposed "fix" is but I hope it isn't "alienate anyone who has played this map for more than 2 weeks". hpocks a dit : Well the new shaman mode gives you something more shaman-oriented. Of course, the main issue is that whoever at A801 thought that organizing the map rotation so that shaman-oriented maps play with the same frequency as art, mechanism, p0/1, etc, and miscellaneous claptrap half of which leaves the shaman sitting there waiting for everyone to either get the cheese themselves or die trying. hpocks a dit : Something that I myself have waited for for months. Still have yet to see any EN server mods apart from secretive log on more than once every seven centuries. hpocks a dit : If you play a game for several hours a day for 3-4 years straight no amount of modules or gamemodes will make it seem less boring and repetitive. For the rest of us, what we've got over the past ~2 years seems much more than enough already. Although I will say that certain map rotation categories *cough*BOOTCAMP*cough* could - no should - be reworked entirely. hpocks a dit : most people i know see it as french physics simulator with mice but ok sure. |

hpocks a dit : I agree 100% on this. I was so lost when I was a newbie shaman. The people that are in divine mode screech endlessly at the poor newbies. It's not fair. Plus Animal Jam can go screw itself. But due to the complaints above, you seem hypocritical/whatever the word for it is. Dernière modification le 1427513760000 |

With respect--or maybe not, considering the claims against you from the above mice--I've read your rant twice now and still don't grasp all of it. I certainly don't know what you mean by "luck" in Vanilla. Along with offering you a cough drop, I would like to ask what the main idea in the thread was, since you say Haru missed it. The only thing I agreed with was your stance on the tutorial. Dernière modification le 1427506260000 |

I personally don't see why everyone cares about the profiles so much, I can't imagine why anyone would want to sift trough someone else's profile an therefore I find it illogical to whine about profiles. All you need to see on profile is what is at the first part- general stats, general personal things, like soulmates, tribe, gender. We actually have a fairly active en staff team right now, it's just that they are either private mods or the public mods which are logging in at different times than you. Vanilla is extremely easy- maps 0,19,49,149,122,61,50 for example. Hopefully those are the right maps I'm thinking of, I'll edit later if it's wrong I can only think of about 5 or so maps which are difficult to sham like 81 or the ice and water map or the anvil and bomb map or the angled ground with falling bombs. Although I would like more maps added to vanilla. I love bootcamp pls don't ask to remove the only mapas I can do :( I agree though that a tutorial would be amazing and really help the game and some community issues To call admins lazy is rude and naive though, they work hard to try to make you happy. Now, sure there are things we want and feel are easy adds, but there is a proper way to critique someone's work and this is absolutely not the way to do it. I don't see what making module games official would change. They're already implemented into the game, just go play them. |

Riddle me this: Could you do any better? Actually, first of all, think about all the work and planning they need to do to manage the game and the community. They're doing what they can in what time they have to improve the game to better please players. If you didn't know, programming a game is one hell of a task. A lot of work and thinking goes into it, reviewing code, debugging, and just figuring out which way would work faster and more efficiently. A801 is a small company overall and they seem to be doing fine in my opinion. I'd rather have small steps toward a bright future than a large step that could break a leg. They already have plans for a new tutorial last time I checked, and they're constantly worrying about the servers and connections. Truth is that they've done something that I'd say is an incredible feat. Their act is as together as humanly possible, flaws are flaws, they're there to remind you that 'perfect' is nothing but a dream. |

I'm pretty neutral/ in agreement with some of the points, but what really bothers me is the bootcamp point you have :P. Bootcamp is made to challenge players, they're not around to be as easy as vanilla, etc. Other point; luck based sham? that would anger me if i ever got maps like those, i like to earn my saves. tl;dr some stuff needs to b earned, and not to be given out like free candy |

Yes the in-game tutorial really sucks. They need to take all the stuff on the tutorial page and stick it on in-game one. When I first started I was clueless until I spotted the tutorial link. They should also make a video on how to wall and corner jump, though if you look you can find really good ones like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkPo3jy-fUA Making a better tutorial would help all of us, and we wouldn't be bombarded with questions from new players who have no idea what they are doing. I try to help all the new players learn by sending them links to the tutorial and walljump videos, but they still are confused. :( |

Honestly this is just a bunch of bullshit, it's your fault if actually let bad people playing this game take advantage of your safety whether it comes to your information or what you're being exposed to. If you have such a huge problem about this then you don't need to express your problems by ranting about a topic this rediculous. Transformice is just like every other game on the internet, people of older and younger ages are going to play it without you being able to do anything about it, this isn't the developer's or the creator's fault you're complaining about this mess, it's a 13+ game in case you haven't noticed. The only thing that needs to get its act together is you, you're just hungry for attention and want people to worry about your problems. |
