Sometimes when you touch an egg you get no consumables from it. I originally thought it was a problem on my end until I saw other people talking about the same issue.

Yes, it did display the egg "greyed" out so it couldn't have been that I missed it.

The post above was made prior to the update. Now you need to get into the hole in order to obtain consumables, but sometimes no consumable is earned even after you go into the hole.

I encountered the same, but I assume it's because item I got was already maxed out. I think it would be less confusing if icon of item + "maxed out" text on it would appear when collecting item I already have full stack of.

It's not a issue you need to complete the map in order for you to get consumable
The admins I think did this so that way it would prevent farming for example someone in a room of 45 people and keep getting egg for more consumables without completing the map

Could be but each consumables limit is 80

I thought that might have been the reason as well, but it just showed that I earned a snowflake firework despite it being maxed out.

It does not, I'm just saying that it showed that I earned a consumable that is already maxed out (it didn't add on to it, it just stayed at 80), in response to Arcanacra's comment suggesting that it might not show that a consumable was earned because it was already maxed out.

It happened to me, i tried reloading, and it didn't work.

It happened to me before the update with the you must go in the hole to get the prize.

I never reach my max of consumables so that's not the case.

This should be fixed now with the update that makes you have to go to the hole to obtain the consumable.

It's still occurring for me and some friends have reported having this issue after the update

happened to me + my soulmate tonight

I still don't get anything from the egg when I enter the hole.

I notice this happens when the mice in the room drops below 7 after the map has started with 8 in the room (enough to spawn an egg) you collect it, take it to the hole, but don't get the consumable. Not encountered this getting the egg but not the treats in any other situation

Yes, it is a bug; this is being experienced even after going to the hole.
