Recently I got a 40hr ban after jokingly saying I outhacked everyone else to get first place. It happened within seconds after saying that so it seems like some sort of automated system banned me. Before this, there was another time where I was banned for 20hrs (and I was not talking about hacking). Both times were for Reason: Hacking, but neither time did I hack.

I just got banned again for 60hrs! I am not doing any hacking! Why would I only be getting banned 60hrs if it *was* a 3rd offense of hacking too? Something is going wrong here. Please help me. I am playing on the steam client.

Are you using a proxy per chance? That's what it sounds like.

No. Why would I get banned for using a proxy in the first place, though? I'm just using the normal steam client. Maybe it uh... Thinks the steam overlay is like a 3rd party injected program hack or something? Has any other people using the steam client had this happen to them?

I have tried contacting the support and the mods and I haven't even gotten a response. How do I get unbanned and prevent this in the future?

You're not being banned for using a proxy, rather people have used them and gotten banned.

Also, it's the weekend and admins don't work on the weekends. Wait until Monday and speak to Zou on the IRC.

You can edit your post by clicking your name next to your post and choosing edit. The bans you describe are indeed automatic. Something about your system or connection is triggering the antihack.
