I'm personally happy for it for that reason. My computer is old and slow and it can't handle a ton of mice coming in. I'm certainly not changing rooms simply because of selfish people.
Play the event regularly like the rest of the game. Like Meli said, it's going to go on for 2+ months and as it stands it seems simple enough to complete.

That isn't an event thing. It's the room system. It doesn't allow over 100 mice.
