Ballons that are rotated 75° or 105° to the left are not attaching to mice. They show the anchor circle like they do on dynamic objects and then just fly upwards:

Could You try without that balloon skin?
Because the anchorable areas of an object is its sprite size if I remember correctly, it could be an issue with the balloon skin instead

You are right, it doesn't happen with the normal balloons. Either way, it's still a bug also if it only happens with the balloon skin.

Apparently the balloon attaches to itself in that rotation, pretty weird. It probably only happens in those rotations because of some floating point errors/roundings in the angle.

Well it is still a bug though it could be the center of rotation of the image is different from the rotation of the anchor
Is it possible for your to animate all the angles for us to inspect *poor mouse who can't afford shaman skins here*

It technically isn't a bug, it's how anchoring works and I assume the balloon anchor is actually two anchors allowing it to kind of apparently anchor itself

To clarify one can anchor the entire sprite of an object (inclusive of its transparent areas)

It's not really important, but for me it's a bug because if you use the balloon at that angle, you are not able to anchor yourself or a mouse, giving an outcome which breaks gameplay at that point. You are right that technically it's not a bug but it should be solved, or at least put on the record here :D

What exactly do you mean by animating all the angles? I tried to do the bug for every rotation-step of the balloon, but it only happens for the two rotations that I showed.

And yes, you are right, anchor hitboxes are rectangles for the full sprite. That's also a bug in my opinion & I made a thread about it here. That anchor hitbox also breaks gameplay imo.

If anchors aren't working on balloons irregardless of the degrees of rotation then yes, it's a bug lol

Haru, it's specific to this shaman skin because of how anchors work, the anchors are working just that it's anchoring itself

I'd like to see how it looks like when your spawning it at that angle to analyze it if possible if you could >~<

Also Uh the bug doesn't lie in how the balloons work or more of in how the anchoring works that's what I meant. @_@ sorry for the lack of clarity here

How it looks pre spawn for those two angles would do fine >~<

Basically the issue lies in a different bug, aka the link you mentioned earlier
