What I'm suggesting is to add more information and general improvements to the referral system pop up when clicking on the 'More Cheese' option in the game menu.

I myself have made some alternate accounts using my referral link, but I've received cheese (via the reward system (10 cheese = 1 cheese)) from unknown persons who have used my link. This would be useful to see who is using the link and, although it's improbable, to see if one of your alternate accounts has had its password guessed and has someone using it. This could be used to make/meet new friends who have used your link (say if you've posted it in a public website).


Features :

Statistics - Information like who have been registered using your link, how much cheese you have received as a referrer and/or combined cheese/statistics gathered by the people who have been registered using your link would be displayed. In addition to this, one could have a choice to allow others to view these statistics through a command such as '/refstats erabos'.

Notice After Account Creation (Credits to Lemondile) - When an account is created, a notice about the referral system and what is it should display.

History Log - A brief history log could appear as a tab to show achievements and/or new referees.

Badges - Badges could be rewarded to people who have had a certain number of referees obtain over 1,000 cheese or another milestone to say 'I got #ofmice playing transformice'.

I mostly think the referral system should be more visible to players. It should be something you should see immediately after registering, so that if you like the game, you can easily suggest it to your friends / class mates / coworkers / whatever. I think very people are currently aware of its existence.

My support definitely goes to seeing how much cheese your referrals have earned you. However I'm against listing the people or accounts that are your referrals as this could become a privacy concern in the future.

Could you elaborate on how this might become a privacy issue? I'll try to revise my suggestion if I'm able to. (That information could be made to be private if you're talking about my suggestion to allow the public to view the statistics. It'd be just a like a list of members in a tribe)

It was actually added back in late 2013

But yeah, I support, same reason Lemo posted in their first paragraph.

I've added a few more things to the original idea like badges and history log. If you don't agree with any of them, please feel free to ./support everything except 'idea'. I'll create a list of supporters for each idea.

I agree they definitely should add more improvements to the referral system. I also agree with Lemodile's first line.
