I used the transformice client and the steam one and it still happened. I like them better because they give me an actual full screen on my small little 2nd monitor.

Everybody else is playing the next map but on my screen it is just stuck on that one map. It isn't random, it happens to the first one I play on.

Is the client itself frozen or can you speak?

Everything is fine, everybody in the game is moving fine (but laggy)

the only problem is it's the old map and i'm the only one stuck on it. I can move around but I guess the game thinks i'm afk like that so I just disappear

No, room change won't resolve it. The issue is strictly in the client, not the room/server.

Jmbomb, what you're describing is an issue a lot of standalone users have been experiencing, but with no known resolution. The only suggestion I can offer is consider a switch to the browser for now.
