There's barely any vanilla/regular rooms left, music1 is the only music room, and 801 has either 10 players or below.
What happened while I was gone?
My tribe was abandoned as well ;;

Are you on EN1 or EN2?
EN1 is dead more or less, EN2 is where the activity is.

TFM is dying in the sense that certain communities are dying. Others are still thriving (BR, ES, PL).

Maybe it's a bit over saturated now. with all these skills and fraises, the fun has vanished. You no longer need to indeed play the game to have good items, just pay real money and buy fraises to use.
Even be shaman is not as fun and creative as it was. the skill literally RUINED the experience. I remember when I played by the first time in 2011, there were just small/big planks, boxes, anvils, cannons, spirits and portals on some maps, very simple, objective and fun. these skills are not good because they are a use-to-win thing in all ways.
Survival was ruined by skills, Dual=Shaman Vs was ruined by skills, the VANILLA was ruined by skills.
I just ask Atelier 801 to create a separated server with TFM classic(1.0-1.1) where the grounds were pretty much like the actual minimalist view.

I'm from BR server, I would like to say that there's a "acceptable" quantity of people, but no.....

Yeah

Tbh back in 2011 it was so much harder to get things and it felt like it was worth something. I remember it took me 4 months to get to just 5k after joining, and now you can get 3k in one day.

Maybe for some, but not possible for all. I can't manage 3,000 rounds, even if I get cheese every time.

you can get that if you farm, but farming isn't fun in my eyes so I don't do it.

and yeah OP, you need to head on over to E2 not E1. I tried changing to E1 for political reasons/beliefs last sept, but quickly realised it was a ghost town, so had to suck it up and go back to E2

define "dead" cos i play this nearly every day and am never short of players to play with, even at off peak times.

i'd say a multiplayer game is "dead" when there's not enough playerbase to garentee a player in each area. we're nowhere near that yet on E2

Lots of players migrating from En1 -> En2, also lots of module rooms available now so vanilla and normal rooms won't be as populated.

Only problem with EN2 that I've seen is that there are less active modules. Even #deathmatch, a notorious module for its extreme activity and influence on many different communities, is sometimes vacant.

They deleted some old maps that were probably for the laughs, and the funniest ones are gone.
The one with the 4 cheese had a platform below them for which cheese, now theres none.
There was a anvil snake map before, but it got replaced and can never be seen again.

This game lost many things since it was born and new useless things appeared to replace them

I don't call that a reborn, it's just dying o/

Playerwise Transformice isn't doing so bad at all. Whether new features are liked or disliked is mostly a matter of taste so I won't be discussing that.

I've been keeping track of player counts for a while. Sure, some communities shrank a little (BR, AR, ID to name a few) others, including EN1 have either remained stable, or, like EN2 and most notably PL which exploded, have grown. I'm not sure where overall player counts are headed but EN1 still has plenty of players. What's likely happening though is that they follow a more European peak and low, as I think most US players moved to EN2. That's probably causing OP's experience.

eh?

I'm pretty sure EN1 has MORE activity than EN2 lol (correct me if i'm wrong)

Plus, it's timezones and life. Some of us have our examinations and shit. Like me, I have my mid year examinations coming, so i can't play much u_u

the room you play in also has influence. I play in room 1, and the activity there is more or less always there.

So i can't say tfm is dying, since tfm has more activity and regular players than the other games atelier801 offers...

EN2 is far more populated than EN1, but again it matters at what time you log in.
