*Will be uploading images soon* With the increasing number of new players, out of 20 mice in a typical vanilla room, at most about 10 of them have no experience at all. I know we have many suggestion threads suggesting on a better shaman tutorial or mice tutorial. However, considering that it has been really long and no updates has been made about it and now is a "peak" period, where you have uploaded the game in Steam, regular players may get upset with the slow pace of the game and the new players will suffer from the corrupted community, which can be seen in the Steam reviews. Though theres the "Help" button that links you to the tutorial in the site, it is not noticeable and as for a new player, they can easily miss that out. The page itself has too much text and lengthy, not much players have the time to read. Most players would prefer a live demonstration straight from the game. (which we are still waiting) We have moderators and helpers by our side but for a newcomer, they have no idea how to contact them or don't even know they existed Understanding that it can take a long time to do the tutorial, can we have an alternative first? tl;dr My suggestions:
Before: ![]() After: ![]() ![]() ![]() Though its a bit of a work to do, but its better than getting no detailed tutorial altogether. By having some guidelines which new players can watch or read at their own time, they can acquire some knowledge of the game while you guys can continue with the official tutorial Dernière modification le 1436201700000 |

Well... I can tell you that Helpers won't be listed unfortunately. For a while, with our struggles with CFM's bots (before Micetigri existed), we seriously considered messaging Sydoline (who was CCM at the time) about Helpers becoming partly staff so our list could be displayed and users could get help easier. Until we came to a stumbling block: To be official "public staff," one must be over the age of eighteen, something which many Helpers are not. :( We would've had to eliminate most of our team to do such, something which would've been highly unfair. There IS a tutorial in the works on our end, but I can't and shouldn't get into specifics -- but it's a long struggle because it's difficult to write short sentences (to be able to fit in a ton of translations) and still be descriptive, not to mention make maps and find clear and concise ways to explain things (while still keeping it short). I do agree to everything else, however, most definitely. |

Before I have watched any tutorials, I was as confused as any new player. I think this is a great idea, not to mention that its really heartbreaking to see people insulting those players than helping them -though even if we try to help, they mostly ignore us- /support |

/support This would definitely be helpful. Even though I've been playing TFM for a few years, I still don't know ALL of the commands. Heh. And I'm sure people are getting tired of seeing newbies asking questions about the game, trying to answer, and basically being ignored. |
