Well, I've been seeing a lot of inappropriate, fucked up posts on the cafe and see it go by, getting lots of comments, no moderator here to save the day. Yes, yes, I do know-and realize- that moderators get lots and lots of spam messages every second. But, with this suggestion, active people who go on the cafe a lot can solve the problem without even getting a message, because sometimes they see it themselves. Maybe they can also have a command for the cafe moderators, just like /mod. Maybe /cmod? It can list the online cafe staff members so they can message the mods if it hasn't removed it yet. For example.. :

That sounds like an awesome idea, since there have been awful topics in the past that mods have not deleted themselves, and the cafe mods should be cafers who go on Transformice + the cafe very often, as long as they don't abuse their power. It sounds like an amazing idea, and I support this 100%!

I agree with Brooke. Often you might go onto cafe and see a whole bunch of topics that really shouldn't be there. I go onto cafe a lot cause it is quite active and a great place to chat, and it is ruined by some inappropriate topics. You have %100 of my support!

Mods and arbs (trainee mods) handle the cafe. I don't see why more users should be hired. A report system should be put in place so mods/arbs get reports from it and that's it.

That is true, Haruh, but Moderator and arbs are sometimes busy with the the game it's self, and It's be a lot easier if there are Cafe Moderators, because they don't get loads of spam in messages, as a matter of fact if they control the cafe they can get a shit load of more messages. I do agree with the report section, too, but this is an idea I had in mind.

I don't see a need for a separate team just for the café. If someone's trusted enough to moderate the café, they should be trusted to moderate the game chat too, and vice-versa. If there were café moderators they would have the same requirements as the rest of the moderation staff and it's already hard enough to find people to join them - why limit what they can do like this?

What I think would be a better solution is to add proper moderation tools to the café, a button to report each post, the ability for moderators to see each community's café without relogging, etc.

If there's something inappropriate in the cafe or if there's anything you're not comfortable with, message a moderator. It can easily be deleted if it violates any rules. I don't see the point of having another set of moderators just for the café itself. Using the /report button is another solution.

Like Shamousey said, it's just quite hard for moderators right now to moderate the café since we moderators can't access and see cafés from other communities without having to relog. Either way, I still don't think this is necessary.

Yes, we can delete the post no matter how many upvotes the topic gets.

Unless something has changed, you cant use /report on a user unless you're in their room.

As already mentioned, there is no point in having a new/separate team just to moderate the café. They would basically need to become real moderators to be able to apply proper in-game sanctions for any inappropriate content, which is one of the bigger reasons why forum moderators are unable to clean the café. If you give someone the powers to remove café content and the power to mute or ban, they would end up being a regular mod in the end.

Sure, I use café a lot.
But the person must be really trusted enough and such as other mentioned.
