I've noticed there were a lot of inactive tribes which were made in 2012 and 2013. These tribes has blocked me from making one for my own. I've checked their profiles, I found out only one inactive owner was in the tribe.
I'm suggesting the Admins/Mods to remove tribes that has not been active for over a year. And what I mean by "tribes that has not been active" I mean the members in the tribe. At least one of them has to come online once every year - 1day. The owners of the tribes removed will get 450 cheese as refund (-50 Penalty for being inactive) Removing those inactive tribes would allow people to make more successful ones out of their names.

Personally I completely disagree with this.

User accounts are only going to be cleared for name changing if they have virtually no stats and the same should be for tribes if they're to be removed. Tribes are something people spend their hard earned cheese to create, and even if they haven't played for a few months that doesn't mean they should be scrapped - I personally have multiple alts in tribes I created that I still use occasionally for testing things and other purposes, even though I don't log onto them every 5 months.

Also I log into my main account every day and use the tribe chat for talking to friends, but very rarely enter the tribehouse. If something like this were to be implemented, it should be based on if anyone's logged into the tribe, not entered the tribehouse.

Sorry, but I disagree. Like shamousey said, people used 500 cheese on tribes. And some was using cheese for a shop item, and instead used it on a hard-worked tribe.

I've edited a few things from OP.

I personally have had trouble finding a good tribe name and it turns out to be taken from an inactive player. I think maybe if the tribe was recycled with like, a new name so technically they will never lose the tribe. I don't think Transformice would give that much cheese back to the tribe maker similar in why they won't let you refund the items you buy in shop. So i say, maybe a /halfsupport
