Cafe Rules

Oh dear I've read up and I really hope this is the right place to put this
Anyways, my suggestion is for an Official set of rules for the cafe to be made.
Reason: Very simply put, I was muted for inappropriate language. That makes sense, but from what I can see swearing on the cafe happens more often then not.

Obviously rules can be changed as needed but I've made a rough set that should hit the basics (using tabs)

The linking to sexually explicit or sexually suggestive content is strictly forbidden. Doing so will result in either a mute or a ban.

Profanity is forbidden, if you wouldn’t say it to your mom you probably shouldn’t be saying it here. Excessive use of profanity may result in a mute

Insults based on race, gender, or ethnic are forbidden. Doing so will result in either a mute or ban.

From here I’m not really sure how it’d be worded but basically
No flaming (but...its the cafe right? Need a good flame war every once in a while)
No singling out people! [In a negative light that is]
I figured bumping is fine but there should probably be some mention of it somewhere?
Also might wanna hit on the trading topics and whether or not trading furs for other things (such as “rare spikes” whatever those even are or Chicken smoothie pets”)
Although this could go hand in hand with profanity anything sexually explicit text wise calls for grounds of punishment as well

It might also be nice for a mod to be notified (I’m assuming this doesn’t already happen) if a certain number of downvotes happen regardless of upvotes.
If a topic is [for the most part] flaming or harassing it should be taken down.

TBH, i doubt anyone will pay attention to the rules for the cafe

This will only have an effect if we'll ever be able to properly sticky a café post - making it sit on top without ever getting deleted.

That's true, but isn't there a way to make a message pop up when you open it? It could be possible to make one on the these forums, sticky it here, and then link it in the message. I guess a downside would be it'd get annoying to see it every time you opened cafe.

I should clarify that a bit, like when you get muted it'll normally show the mute notification when you open cafe o/

By joining the game and agreeing to the ToS, you agree to abide by the rules, so..

But there are no rules specific to the cafe. Yes, there are game rules but the rules to a game would probably be different then the rules to the cafe since the cafe is pretty much a flash forum

No, the rules are exactly the same. No racism, no homophobia/transphobia, no excessive swearing.
It's inside the game, therefore it abides by game rules.

The café is just a way to chat with people within the game. All of the game's chat-related rules, as mentioned above, also apply to any content in the café. I admit there could be more done to inform people of these rules, but everyone who plays the game agrees to the terms and conditions, which covers that.
