Isn't that the point of a "request?" The person requesting or trading has their preferences, I'm sure you have yours too. Not fair if you get to decide what they draw and they can't do the same.
Most artists either don't give the option for a preferred pose and just draw whatever, but there are some that do. Out of the "some" that do, a few of them have already made poses and give requesters the choice of what pose they want (1 pose out of 5 different poses for example.) Some poses are harder to draw than others, so only do what you feel comfortable with.
