One gallant group of mice. One mission. One world to restore. Author's Note: Before making any questions about the familiarity of the title, I'd like to tell you that this is a revision of my previous Transformice fan fiction, titled Transformice: The Adventure Unfolds. It was something made for my friends as a tribute but it expanded into a full-scale story which I did not expected to create. The Adventure Unfolds came out from my imagination three years ago, which was full of inconsistencies, unnecessary subplots, and precariously written vocabulary which made no sense at all. Today, I feel like writing the revision to give more heart and general understanding to what I've written when I was 14 years old. Now that I have more understanding about the world we live in, I think incorporating elements of human/mouse drama will be beneficial for this story to strengthen the tale's poignant subject matter. If you wish to check out my mediocre piece of literary work I made in 2012, click the link below. http://cheese.formice.com/forum/threads/transformice-the-adventure-unfolds.35854/ Synopsis: Sonsi, an adolescent game enthusiast, unexpectedly ended up in the world of Transformice, a game he consistently played in his childhood. The world found out that his arrival corresponds to the prophecy of one mice bringing sheer chaos into the world while another mouse attempts to stop his opponent's malevolent actions. Sonsi encounters his friends and forms an alliance to fight against the dreaded mouse, named Noon, who wishes to incorporate anarchy into the clean, pure world, to demonstrate the vulnerability of mice in harsh conditions. This is a story of many mice who discover the transcendental ideologies of the world they live, which will make them understand that every realm needs a balance of good and bad of their world's nature. Characters: Sonsi - A teenage mouse who was previously a human before entering the Transformice world, and was reluctantly chosen as the hero to rescue the world from everlasting corruption. He is the leader of his powerful group of his friends. Fuse, or Confusedone - A sophisticated general of the Bootcamp Initiatives, who specializes in advanced maneuvers. A strategic genius of the group. Prologue: Through Dimensions As I was walking on the sidewalk on my way back home from a despondent day in school, I interrogated myself with a peculiar question that sounded like an impossible thing to achieve. School has taught me that an ability to perform inter-dimensional travel throughout various platforms of the Internet is an impossible and ludicrous idea because no human body is able to transfer him or herself into a virtual world. At home, I am in love with a game known as Transformice, an interactive platformer that revolves around a single task of gathering cheese and bringing it back into the mouse hole accompanied with numerous game modes. I grabbed my house keys and entered to my house, which was unusually vacant. Our families rarely return to home by ourselves knowing that there is no one else in the household. Shamelessly, I jumped onto my desktop and attempted to log on in Transformice to alleviate the pain I suffered for being awarded a C minus on my honors environmental exam. My temporary grin turned upside down when I realized that all servers were interrupted by a possible developmental maintenance. Knowing that the game was currently offline, I dragged my lazy body onto my bed to daydream about teleporting into the world of Transformice. At first, it sounded incredibly stupid. But as I delve deeper into my thoughts of that opportunity, I realized that I could meet my friends in the alternate dimension as well. Maybe they also teleported to there. "Shoot, why the heck am I thinking about this?" I said to myself. And yet I reluctantly refused to encourage my disbelief about my dream of being in a world about mice. That actually sounds extremely creepy, but it's an experience you could get once in a lifetime. I closed my eyes to sleep off the tumultuous thoughts on inter-dimensional teleportation. But right before my head decided to shut itself for the day, my body felt a strange movement which closely resembled hovering. The back of my head was not touching a pillow or any tangible surface, and my ability of opening my eyes got impaired, feeling like it was forcing me to avoid watching something epileptic. I freaked out, and I could only respond to the strange emanation by tossing my body in all directions and yelling at the top of my lungs in sheer terror. Then my body landed onto a cold, wooden surface that wobbled inconsistently as I made to my destination. There was constant squeaking and my hearing abilities got enhanced, and my hands did not felt like my own hands. I was also feeling fur all over my face as I self-checked myself for possible injuries. I opened my eyes, uninterrupted, only to see sunny rays shining at my eyes which interfered my peripheral vision. The animate shadows that were eclipsed by the sun looked like... mice. Somehow the impossible turned out to be possible.. but I don't know how it all happened. End of Prologue. |

Chapter I: An Unfamiliar World (Part 1) I woke up to a peculiar world inhabited by anthropomorphic mice who are curiously staring at me because I am currently the only mouse whose body is laid down on the wooden floor. The murmurs and the obnoxious music coming from the background positioned me in sheer confusion, so I had to ask one mouse for some directions. The music, which appears to be emanating from a holographic screen in front of us, is mildly monotonous and annoying. The screen is showing pictures of anime girls singing to each other. Somehow I find the view familiar but I hesitantly asked one mouse for directions. "Hey dude, do you know where I am? And how to get out of here?" I asked. "I don' know what you're talkin' about, man. We're in room music1. There's an exit right there," said the mouse with sunglasses with a strand of straw sticking out of his teeth, indicating the exit with his paw, "I don't know why you want t' leave.. this music dern sure is great!" "Sure.. but, no thanks," I replied. I remember from the game that music rooms often play explicit stuff that I shouldn't be hearing. I just wish people who post regular music just to appreciate those melodic tu- "Wait... am I in Transformice?" I suddenly said to myself in my head, realizing that this entire world is real. I looked at my own hands, which appeared to be mouse paws. I started to hyperventilate in complete terror now that I am a living furry rodent! Even an unfamiliar part of my body I've never felt before started to twitch as well. I looked back and it was my tail.. a mouse tail, shaking in complete revulsion. I freaked out and ran through the exit, not knowing what to do with myself now that I am a mouse, in a virtual game with a single objective of grabbing a piece of cheese and bringing it into the hole. Somehow, a memory of the game sparked into my mind, and I might have found a way to go back to the real world. "Hmm... if I grab a piece of cheese and go into the hole, that means I completed a round! I could go back!" I went back to room music1 so I could finish the round. As the map selection rotates, it started with an infamous vanilla map known as the Mountain of Death, that is a large slope that summons bombs at the summit. "Crap," I said. "I need to use the other guys as a meat shield or something." "Dude..." said the same mouse with sunglasses, "I was gon' do the same ol' thing as well." a dit : Knowing I can still complete the objective without getting first place, I stood behind a large huddle of mice and slowly scaled up towards the cheese, that is interfered by a constant summoning of bombs. There is no shaman to assist us in this precarious journey, which gives me big worries. One bomb, summoned and already ignited, collided onto the front rows of the mice huddle and exploded with great force, which launched a few mice into the skies and out of the platforms, screaming in terror. The force had a ridiculous range, which pushed some of the mice at the end of the huddle by a couple of inches. Unfortunately, no one had a strategic plan to maneuver through the explosives, and the cheese floating at the summit seemed to be unreachable. During this havoc, a mouse entered into the room music, and every mice except me knew who he was, calling his name. "Confusedone! Confusedone, please help us!" many mice shouted in desperation. "Ah, look you need some assistance on how to avoid these bombs," the heroic mouse said. |

Chapter I: An Unfamiliar World (Part 2) "And please, my fellow mice, Fuse is here to show you how to jump over these bombs!" The heroic mouse, named Fuse, wears a red, half-torn scarf being partially suspended by the wind currents and gunpowder from the bombs. I noticed a small tag on his ears with two words written on it: "Bootcamp Administrator". Without reluctance, he jumps onto the base of the hill, starting from the bottom. As the bombs summoning at the summit gradually increases its jumping height, we see Fuse crouching underneath the bomb that flies over his own height. The mice looked at him in awe, but mesmerized by the precariousness of the level. The second bomb Fuse is about to encounter is arriving towards him at close proximity. As he was a few feet away from the bomb, he jumps to the direction of the bomb's travel and swooshes his entire body towards the opposite way, dodging the bomb. Some say that this technique is called the 'zig-zag', but I don't see how the movement corresponds with its given name. At a fast pace, he jumps over the third bomb... Then the fourth... then the fifth. He reaches to the cheese without breaking a single drop of sweat, and the mice start to applaud to Fuse for his bravery and smart maneuvers. "I gotta say, those moves were impressive," I said, complimenting his work as he walks towards me. For some reason, he stared at me, slowly analyzing me, to see if I was anyone familiar.. but how could he possibly be doing this only to me out of this large crowd of mice? "You... you look are familiar. You don't seem to look like the rest of the other mice around you," Fuse said, in curiosity. "What's the matter? I'm just a plain, ordinary person around here," I replied back. "Person? I only see a mouse, with a tail, a small snout, with mouse fur.. I don't see a person-" he suddenly stopped, with his eyes wide open in sheer shock. "Follow me," Fuse said, "there is something I need to show you." End of Chapter. |
