[Suggestion] Chat disabled for novices

I'm experiencing a bad time since pirate transformice bot's keep spamming their site on the transformice chat. Even if you disable whispers, there are others that flood in the normal chat. This is a suggestion to help this problem. You will need X cheeses before you can talk. When a novice that haven't X cheeses tries to talk, a special message could apear, for example: "You need X cheeses to be allowed to talk"

This will greatly decrease the floods in the chats, and will help the game flow better.

I agree it may decrease flooding and spamming in the chat, but you could always add spammers to your ignore list. I mean, no offense, but I think it's enough that trolls on guest accounts are unable to speak. And new players wouldn't be able to politely ask in chat how to wall jump. Good idea, though.

You can't ignore those bots though. They spam in one room, log off, and come back on another name so you can't ignore them and evade bans. ^

That is true, but it's not that common. I've never come across that since I joined on Breezegold in early last summer.

Just head to BR-1 for a bit.

It's not that we don't trust you, it's that we are expressing our opinions on the idea.

And, in my opinion, I think that this is OK as long as the amount of cheese required is 50 or below.

This was suggested before within staff but denied by the admins because they feel the chat is an integral part of the game and not allowing new players to use the chat will make it very difficult for them to learn how to play.

yeah new players should be allowed to chat with others to be welcomed into the game and also it's useful for them to be able to ask for help through chat
