Mini-mods? |

I would really love to help Transformice by being a mod, but I am too young. And that got me thinking. What if there could be a program where players on Transformice could help the mods by reporting any people acting against the rules to the REAL mods. The mini-mods (that is what I would call them) will be able to talk to the mods through a chat. Not a chat room, but a special chat that only mods and mini-mods could access. You would have to have the same requirements as a mod would (why should we let you be a mini-mod, why should we not, etc.), but they would be volunteers and not have the same power as mods do. What do you all think? |

It already exists, but the applications for it are closed for now. http://atelier801.com/topic?f=5&t=771622 |

Lordfuzzy a dit : Ehhhh no. Not at all. Helpers aren't mini-mods. We can't talk to mods in any other medium than a regular user can. All we do is answer questions. The thing that Tapewing is suggesting is similar to Holz's report system through his bot. But if all you could do is /report, why is there a need for a special team when the entirety of the game can do this? |

Haruhitastic a dit : I think the idea is that these players, much like the ones that could use Holz's bot, are trusted and hence their reports have a higher priority. They wouldn't have the same limitations that normal users have. (E.g multiple players needing to report a hacker for it to get sent). |

I find this rather useless, since everyone can report. Why would we need higher priority reports? That would mean adding more stuff to already cluttered report system. If you are trust worthy enough, message a moderator directly, do not spam them though. |

My point is, I have had times where I am in a room or on the cafe, and there is something wrong. Someone tells a mod, and they don't respond. This happens a lot when I am around, and this system will help. I am thinking of writing a whole essay about this, so if you have any questions please tell me. |

I've always supported ways to pick trustworthy reporters out of the crowd, however the pitfall of such suggestions is that players who have not been chosen have a bigger chance of being ignored while their report isn't necessarily false or less urgent. This is why the report system is the way it is, to try and divide moderator attention as fair as possible. |

There's already /report and /tribunal that anyone can use. If it's a really big problem, message a mod. There's usually a few on. |

/no support If you're a kid, you shouldn't have moderator powers in a game with millions of active players. You're either a moderator, or not. That's like asking "can I half-work at this place? I'm just a kid, but I want money, so I'll just work half the amount of hours and receive half the amount of money, doing half the amount of work." No, just no. |

Haruhitastic a dit : I've never heard of a 12-year-old working half a shift, earning half the money. That sounds stupid, doesn't it? |

Underage moderators wouldn't really happen, for many reasons (besides the glaring issue of there being a significant amount of paperwork/contracts for hiring underage in France, let alone someone in another country, while Atelier is a small company without a dedicated lawyer). A moderator's entire job relies on dealing with other players, which puts them in the position of dealing with things like pornographic avatars, being targeted for a lot of verbal abuse from players, and handling a lot of PG-18 discussions that unfortunately occur. All of these issues are because of immoralities, and it's immoral in itself to make a minor handle that. |

Shamousey a dit : That's exactly what I mean. This is like a child creating a protest post on Tumblr about not being able to drunk since they're underage, and that they should be allowed to drink, but maybe not as much as an adult. My metaphors are off the charts, am I right? |
