What do you think are the good things about the cafe? How about the bad things? These are some of my ideas:

PROS
-lots of good people
-fun having discussions with people
-you can have a good argument without everyone getting super mad
-something fun to do

CONS
-lots of bullies
-lots of hate on Animal Jam, even though MOST of our community plays it, or has played it.
-has little control (lots of swearing and such)

True, but I mean the cafe has way more swearing than normal chat.

Pros:
- Any question to the game gets fast responses
- Making new friends
- Something to entertain during a map when dead or in hole
- Less strict than a forum

Cons:
- Lack of moderation

I'm against "swearing" and "hating on animal jam" in your list because swearing is everywhere on Transformice and anyone is allowed to hate on anything.

Pros
Ask a question, quick responses
A good place to go if you have nobody to chat with

Cons
Lots of swearing + inappropriate words (yeah, this game is 13+, I know, but some kids don't. I've seen a 6 year old on a cafe before.)
Not much moderation
Fanfics oh my god
Hating on other players or games
Fighting

its never too boring

As a en cafer, I quite like cafe.

The cafers are all qties.
Less strict than forum.
Some topics have discussion value.
Most things.

-------Cons:
Spam.
Roleplays/bad fanfics, not my cup of tea.
Edgy topics about your oc.
Too-much-information posts.

I'm not really going to add swearing as a con, because I mutter the odd word now and then, and that's fine.
A big paragraph of swear words or very sexual comments is what I draw the line at though.

I truly wish I could find any sort of "pro" with the Cafe. Short of making announcements or things and quick giveaways, the place is a complete cesspool.
A lot of the people are very hateful, have no respect for others' personal boundaries and will gladly harass you if you do the least little thing wrong in their eyes. Most of the users are either so edgy I risk mortally wounding myself if I brush against them, or painfully immature. It makes for a culture clash and a toxic environment.

Most of the things people have declared as "cons" is just amusing and can easily be resolved with either reporting or just minding your business. Roleplaying? Don't click the thread. Spam? It's permissible by the rules. TMI posts? If you're actually disturbed (and by disturbed I do not mean an MtF trans user experiencing dysphoria, that is completely different) by someone talking about their menstrual cycle then you're in for a hell of a ride during life.
Swearing happens. It's within the rules.
In regards to other stuff, just make a report about it to a moderator or downvote it.

Boy can I agree on this one.
I've been involved in a period-related topic once and a lot of people got upset by it saying it's gross and there are children playing.
Periods are natural, they'll find out eventually, it's certainly not worse than some of the topics I've seen.

Not everyone, actually. About 85% of people do, but not all.

Pros:

You can get help for something quickly like if you're confused on one of the new "exciting" events.
Some of the users on the Cafe are tolerable and you can have nice conversations if you're bored out of your mind.
It's an easy way to make friends if someone discusses something that you find interesting.
It is a good place to get constructive criticism on art/literature.

Cons:

Many of the things that these people are complaining about could be easily solved by reporting or ignoring someone, such as a troll, although the users on the Cafe never do.
One of the main problems is the fact that many of the users on there are so toxic they do not realize the difference between something that is immune.

There is also a HUGE herd mentality, and people will gang up on a single person if they feel that person has done something wrong or if someone else considered to be a respected member is doing it.

Pros:
*If you're bored its a good place to chat
*Less strict then forum
*Post mostly anything
*Talk with neat people


Cons:
*Make a topic about something you like - get an awful lot of dislikes
*Dislikes for no reason
*People being rude for no reason
*It's toxic itself.

I really like the cafe and such, but I still agree there are some flaws, even tho I got used to them tbh
