I'm tired of hackers or foul mouthers or bullies who enter into rooms and take ages to get kicked or just don't get punished at all. People will just not bother pasting in the /ban NAME into chat even if we fill the chat up with it, and that's considered flood if we try to take it overboard. Something needs to be done about player laziness and flood resulting from mice trying to make everyone aware of an abuser.

These players just enter our rooms and stay in them because they're confident they can't be banned because nobody will bother using the command. There are also no moderators so /report is useless because hackers will just enter and raid servers with no mods to respond to reports.

Instead, change the voteban system:
Upgrade the chat command to /ban NAME REASON
Now players can see who they're being prompted to kick from the room and WHY. Not only does this encourage people who are lazy to vote; it makes more people who are just sitting braindead in the game aware of what's happening.

In addition, it needs to be easier for players to vote a player out. A window should pop up on screen:
Typed in chat: /ban *Souris_17ce Speed Hack
================
Kick *Souris_17ce?
Reason: Speed Hack
Votes: Yes [3] No [1]
[Yes] [No]
================
When the vote is successful, the usual message pops up in chat as well as the karma.
The vote remains on screen for half a minute before vanishing. If not enough votes are received, the popup disappears. In addition, the player who called the vote cannot call another vote for 5 minutes.

Yes and No should be clickable. Now a mouse can just click the screen to vote instead of typing it into chat. This makes it easier for mice to vote off a player but also makes it easier for mice to vote off players with ridiculously annoying names (you know, those really long spamnames)

Reporting a mouse will report the abuser to a moderator, but not bring up the window. The reason for this is that moderators follow reports to rooms that the report was issued from in order to observe if a player is misbehaving or cheating; so if a mouse is kicked from the room before the report can pass, the moderator will have to find the mouse in another room.

Another point: Make bans valid even after the user has left after a vote has been called, so people can't dodge bans.
Additional option: The window should be invisible from the player being kicked [to avoid alerting the player who would just run away]

"Karma" shouldn't be earned in this way.

Also since it's already in chat by /ban <name>, it doesn't seem to me a "good" idea.
Since people would faster ban others of a room only because theres a window with Yes or No.
Most likely mice would end up being banned from a room for being good. The ban thing
is mostly more about nepotism instead of a good deed.

True. And what if there's mice who vote yes even on an innocent mouse?

/No Support sorry

As others said vv this can easily be abused. Some mice may come in groups. One mouse may start up a vote, and the mice who abuse this choose yes even if the mouse 100% innocent and did nothing wrong. Players doing voteban on their own will be better ; that will make it so it's not so easily abused and some players who believe the mouse is innocent don't have to voteban.

I see a lot of downsides to this, most importantly the abuse that'll increase with these changes of the voteban feature. The reason why the voteban feature works the way it works, is because in the past a lot of players have abused the privilege to kick someone from a room. People tend to count the votes and try to rally people into the room in order to target a specific player. Allowing them to see exactly how many votes there have been cast (and how many they still need) will increase this abuse.

What I want to highlight is the following:
Solfn a dit :

Something needs to be done about player laziness and flood resulting from mice trying to make everyone aware of an abuser.

This assumes that whenever a player is not being votebanned, it is because other players are being "lazy". But it could also be that other players simply don't think the player in question should be votebanned. The fact someone starts to flood simply because the room is not following his orders is rude and doing so makes this player just as bad (or worse) as the person he's trying to get rid of. I don't see that change when this window is implemented.

Additionally, popup screens are a nuisance. Having one potentially pop up everytime someone wants to voteban a player can be quite annoying if you're not interested in votebanning anyone. You can't make someone vote if they don't want to. Suggesting a solution similar to ignoring trading windows will also not be beneficial, because the voteban feature should remain accessible in the case of a valid incident.

Lastly I want to mention that hackers, foulmouthers and spammers should not be handled with the voteban function. This behaviour is against the game rules and these situations should therefore be handled by moderators (even if they are hard to contact). Voteban should only be used for things as mentioned in the game rules:
Game Rules a dit :

It can be used to kick players out for minor offenses (e.g., trolling, favoring, glitch abuse, rule breaking in minigame rooms)

As such I think the voteban system is fine the way it is now, and I don't support this suggestion to change it.

then "ban lotteries" would happen more often and people would kick others for stuff like "being a noob" etc.

Good idea, but what if someone does the voteban thing in someplace like e2 but no mod is on e2 and the other mods don't understand English?
