Removing Less Popular Modules?

Hi according to Telmojaars, two map crews and Zou said less popular modules will be removed, I am just wondering if that is true.

I am not very familiar with the forum and I would like to apologize in advance if this is not the right place to ask questions about modules.

Modules wont be removed by how popular they are. If the module is broken and not working, and no one is updating/fixing it, it will probably get removed. From my understanding atleast. There may be more reasons why a module could get removed, but definitely not because it isnt as popular as others.
