I absolutely HATE the new shaman update. I'm not even sure it is an update as I've just comeback from being gone for a month or so. Anyways, WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE KEYS FOR ROTATING OBJECTS?! Right off the top of my head, I can come up with two reasons this change is a terrible one.

1). Players, including myself, that have been playing from 2011 or 2010 are used to the original controls. We've been playing for years. A change in game play, such as changes in survivor we can adapt to. But changing the basic game controls for a game is just STUPID. Imagine changing the controls for PAC-man to have down be up and left be right. Sounds stupid right? Yeah, I thought so.

2). The natural placement of your hands on the keyboard FAVOR THE PREVIOUS KEYS. Place your middle finger on the 'w' key with your other adjacent fingers resting on the 'a' and 'd' keys. Tell me, where does your pinkie rest? If you have an adequately sized hand, it should land comfortable on the 'Shift' key. Now, shift your pinkie a little to the right. IS THAT COMFORTABLE? No. It does not encourage the game play to be smooth at ALL. Maybe that was the point of the change, but why would you want to hold back and already perfect mechanic that made the game fun and engaging?

Regardless of what your opinion may be, new players will come in and learn this style of play, but this is not fair to this companies loyal followers. I still cannot understand why Atelier 801 would make this change instead of investing resources into other broken mechanics. I'm highly disappointed with this recent 'change' and hope it can be modified to be toggled in the future.

BTW: If I am talking out of my ass and there is a way to toggle this, please tell me as I absolutely hate it and am a barely competent Shaman.

the z/x rotating isn't a new thing though? i joined in early 2012 and learned to rotate with z/x, not ctrl/shift.

I've been playing since late 2011 and it's been z/x since then. When was the last time you played, before now?

This isn't new, I used to play on my laptop and I always used z/x to rotate, also, not everyone uses wasd to move, I use the arrow keys.
