I know there are already a bunch of these threads, but all of them are taking things the wrong way.
Most of them, or at least all of them I have seen, are focusing on deleting old accounts. I am against this, because I made my account in 2014 but didn't start playing much until 2016. Here is my idea:

Players can change their name in the shop for 500 frasies. Any account that is offline for longer than a year would lose their name. One year is long enough, if they can't log on for a whole year then they will have to find a new name. Any player who is inactive for this year will be given a Souris name and upon log on, will be given an option to change their name for free or take back their old name if it is still available.

When a player changes their name, their original name will still appear on their profile for one month. After one month, the name will become free for grabs. This keeps names from being locked up and it avoids confusion (so no one can take a name instantly after the original owner changes their name, which would cause confusion.)

This method would clear up all the names we are all begging for, no accounts are ever deleted, and the game can raise more funds by selling the changes for 500 frasies. I understand that some people are offline for a long time and return, so that's why I am against deleting accounts when it can easily be avoided by giving those OG inactive players a Souris name.

For logging in, players can log in with their E-mail rather than their username. Any account that does not have an E-mail attached should be removed completely.

/no support, it's impossible to make the people loose their usernames for 500 fraises ! Even if they are niactive for one year or even 2 or 3 or 4, your account it's your account, your username, it's your username.

So Decilation, you meant people can change their username, unless it is unavailable, but if the account user has been inactive more than 1 year, then the user who wants the username will pay 500 fraises for one.

But it doesn't make sense because you said the old user who had the nickname before can have another name change for free when they return.
So what if the inactive user came back? People could perhaps use this trick to get a username for free instead of fraises by being inactive for a year.

i dont think anyone would become inactive for an entire year just for a username change

Sorry but admins are actually making the name change update available for more than 500 fraises. They said it would be at least 1000 fraises.

I had a talk with one of the admins long ago and he said that it's already planned and will cost fraises.
