From August 28 2015 to Auguest 12 2016, Transformice - The Cartoon Series became one of Transformice's former attractions for older kids and teenager audiences. Characters in the cartoon series will go nuts for cheese and often fail. Some even succeeded in eating the cheese at the wrong time!

This series was produced by Cross River Productions and Believe Digital and the series were not paid by Atelier801. Instead this series was funded by Cross River Productions.

Several episodes has been involved were they coincided by several fans of the cartoon series. Although this is all unintentional due to lack of money or not enough time to change.
  • Cultural appropriation - Banzai's personality and design is shown as a stereotype of a Japanese samurai. Many consider this cultural appropriation. Alot of other stereotypes are visible in the characters.
  • Sexism - Fatale is shown as a cheerleader along with her followers in Episode 9 - Cheeseleaders. Which is what a typical female would be in most shows involving in high school.
  • Satanism - A running gag has Red doing what appears to be a demonic ritual, illustrating a pentagram. Cross River was unaware for the game and instead used the common things on what shamans do.
  • Suicide - Episode 12 - Cheese paradise was the most controversial for the series aimed for older kids audience, which involves Brutus trying to get to the cheese paradise by committing suicide. However, Blue kept on reviving them, and Brutus tried to commit suicide for the last time by slamming itself into the waffle maker, only to have Brutus turned into a waffle.
  • Racism - In Episode 13 - Night club a white mouse is forbidden from entering the night club, allowing the brown mice to enter the nightclub instead. Melibellule firmly mentioned that this was unintentional because of a white mouse is actually a modeling shortcut from Episode 9 - Cheeseleaders.
  • Operation echoing - The same episode also holds many deaths of mice, which is somewhat comical. Either on accident on purpose, Brutus burns every mice alive in the microwave night club, which coincided the operation used in World War II.
  • Cannibalism - See running gags. The least controversial for the series aimed for older kids audience.

General:
  • All of the unknown mice have green to lime irises with the exception of the vampire and the vampirized mice who had red eyes.
  • Starting in Episode 24 - Valentine's day ! titles were added and the older episodes before Episode 24 - Valentine's day ! was re-titled to add the title from the episode.
  • In some episodes there are fast-phase scenes in colors were there are cat images in the filmography if you rendered the quality to the highest.

Episodes
  • At one point an episode positively Episode 18 - Miception originally will have Trix as a pregnant mouse, but Melibellule felt worried about it because it may cause Male-pregnancy. The episode was delayed and completely changed to Trix being abducted by fraise aliens.
  • Episode 32 - Chi-zu Sentai Micerangers makes the longest title in the cartoon series with 56 characters in the episode and title.
  • Episodes such as Episode 17 - Bubble Trouble and Episode 28 - Chili Cheese will sometimes be titled based on a pun or have the word "Cheese" at the end of the title.
  • Episode 18 - Miception is a callback from Episode 1 - The Trix's Show. the differences for Episode 18 - Miception though is there's only one not impressed mouse and it was only impressed through fraises which became Trix's nightmare. This is also the same for Episode 31 - The remote being a callback for Episode 4 - Chill and Cheese with the deference having Brutus playing with the remote with Trix on their side. This also happened in Episode 38 - Gravity 2 as a callback to Episode 18 - Miception with the planet of fraises after Red purposely puts gravity back to normal.
  • Episode 20 - Damned cheese is the only episode to have a vulgar word on the title.
  • Episode 10 - Cheese terror and Episode 24 - Valentine's day ! are so far the only episodes for the traditional holiday specials.
  • Episode 37 - Gravity, Episode 38 - Gravity 2 and Episode 39 - Gravity 3 were the only episodes to have a 3-parter.
  • Episode 39 - Gravity 3 is the only episode were all main characters appear.
  • Episode 39 - Gravity 3 is also the only episode where a main character ate the cheese without an effect, in this case Brutus ate the cheese, however this caused the fraise aliens to chase the mice.

Cultural references:
Please PM me if you have any evidence for the cultural reference in any episodes.
  • Episode 9 - Cheeseleaders is a pun for Cheerleaders.
  • In Episode 15 - Let's fight! there are stock audios from the Dragon Ball franchise, which can be used during fights.
  • The plot and the title in Episode 18 - Miception has coincided the 2010 si-fi film Inception.
  • The song and the title Episode 26 - Cheese it ! is a reference to the song Beat It sung by late Michael Jackson.
  • The entire thing in Episode 32 - Chi-zu Sentai Micerangers has alot of references to the Power Rangers. The term "Chi-zu" is a translation of "Cheese" in Japanese. The middle term "Sentai" is a reference to Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive which is adapted from the US version of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. (A pun for "Micerangers") The costumes for Trix, Banzai and Fatale have the same colors for Carter Grayson, Chad Lee and Dana Mitchell respectively along with the other red, blue and pink future rangers.
  • In Episode 37 - Gravity a mouse is shown riding with balloons attached. This is a reference to Pikachu riding with balloons attached in the Pokemon Island Cave on Pokemon Snap for Nintendo 64, hence the Mouse pokemon.
  • The opening sequence in Episode 38 - Gravity 2 and Episode 39 - Gravity 3 are a reference to most opening crawls in Star Wars. Except there's no blue static text.
  • The entire episode on Episode 40 - Transformice's got talent is a parody of America's Got Talent.
  • The title in Episode 41 - Social Notworking is a pun for Social Network and Working.

Others:
  • An argument is involved if the mice have any genders. Although Teshigaro a Cross River member of the series confirmed that none of the mice have genders. However in Episode 41 - Social Notworking Fatale's gender was female.
  • Despite Red's name, their feathers and markings did have the color pink instead of red.
  • While Blue's fur is gray with white spotting, it is shown in solid brown in the actual game in Episode 36 - The Door. The same episode also has a title «Nerd Mouse» above Trix which there is no such thing as this title in the real game. Also Trix doesn't even have construction bags in the actual game. It gets crazy in Episode 41 - Social Notworking, Fatale is shown less detailed, her hair is blond and has a title «Pretty Mouse» when she starts to hack Banzai's profile in revenge for messing her latest photo. Fatale has the ability to plaster the photo with items in the tablet, change passwords, and even the laptop by moving the battery life to force the laptop off.
  • If you look closely in Episode 10 - Cheese Terror and Episode 32 - Vampire you can see a pop art of Gratouille. The team's famous rabbit who is associated with Halloween history known as All Hollow's Eve.

Characters:
  • On Banzai's online profile their subtitle is «Warrior Mouse», studied at Martial Arts Secret School, was able to throw shurikens on closed doors and was able to kick Brutus' butt. It also reveals that Banzai is friends with Blue and Red and a mouse named Mimich Michel and has 214 friends. While Fatale's profile has a subtitle «Mouse Model», prefers feminine pronouns, studied Aerospace industry and Quantum Physics, was able to make her own ribbons and sings well. It is also revealed that she can take pictures for likes, has Brutus, Trix and a mouse named Jimmy Fish as friends and has 302 friends.

Errors:
  • In Episode 4 - Chill and Cheese where Trix got the cheese while in a bubble, the frame settings were accidentally stored at 1 minute and 18 seconds. This does not happen in the Christmas edition.
  • In Episode 37 - Gravity before a balooned mouse is blown away it was glitching as if the TV has been lagged.

You can find Miception wallpapers and Micerangers wallpapers from Cross River Productions website, shown by the links.
Only the English version has a full description for the cartoon series.

Hello,
I'm from the Cross River cartoon serie crew.
Let me add/clarify some informations :

Trivia :
Ep 32 : Chi-zu is for Cheese translated in a japanese way (not sure this is very used, I must ask my japanese friends :D ) , this episode is more a reference to originals sentai japanese series, that then have been adapted in US with americain actors by the name of Power Rangers.

For the rest , I'm not sure about all the others references, but that's globally it.

You can add some extra infos :
-In the Halloween and in the Vampire episode, on one shot you can see a picture in the wall featuring Gratouille , a team members's bunny that has a special history with halloween.

-Most of the episodes feature a bunch of hidden cats , you can see them in the colored, fast-moving background when action gets intense. If you pause at that time you may see them . Once you've seen them you'll see them in every episode so beware :D

-For the controversy part , as said before it wasn't intentional or made to influence the viewer to have bad opinions.
But it's up to the viewer to make his/her opinion, so we accepted these critics, and I agree that some of them are more or less true.
Despite this I found that some others critics goes a bit too far also. You can take it as a misunderstanding between preproduction and actual production.
Something funny on the script can turn terribly away sometime, and if we don't have much time(or money) to change it, we have to deal with it.
We've then tried to give the series another turn as much as possible and avoid sensible subjects.

-And for the gender of mices, it's actually a secret ! Our people posting in tweeter sometime refer them as male or female, consider that more of an interpretation/translation in english thing (we are not all in the same place and very busy) but it's really up to the viewer to make his/her opinion.

Finally we'd like to thank all the people watching and supporting the series ! That help us to try our best to do things better !

Most of the episodes feature a bunch of hidden cats , you can see them in the colored, fast-moving background when action gets intense. If you pause at that time you may see them . Once you've seen them you'll see them in every episode so beware :D

I'm not sure about the cat part though... Any evidences?

Hi, here is a screenshot, they're a bit hidden but once you see them, it's pretty obvious...

Check the stove at ep 41, there are cat shaped stovetops! (right at the ending when Banzai was screaming while zooming out)

I wanna announce that the trivia has the section called "Characters" which it will reveal secretive information about them. So far only Banzai and Fatale got the spotlights. Argue about Banzai's and Fatale's gender all you want, that does not help.

EDIT: It seems that Social Notworking has an error for the link that can go directly to Transformice's Got Talent. This is fixed now so you can watch the actual episode for Social Notworking. Also Lights Out has been added to the Episodes list.
