I am suggesting that a lua room is made for players to run their scripts in,and play their script with a lot of friends / strangers who may be able to suggest things to be added or things to be fixed in their script. This will not work in all rooms, and certain permissions will be restricted in that room,so it does not make the module team look like trash, and so nothing server-hard takes work. The room name should be formatted like this : *lua_playername Example : ![]() The only reason why I think this should be made is so that many more possible modules can be recognized by the public, and simply it would be a lot fun. Not sure if this goes to the Module-API related section Supporters Sofianosm Non-Supporters Feel free to change your mind :) Coolfluby Anythin Dernière modification le 1463924880000 |

/support If this is applied, I don't have to spend my 5 mins making a lua in the tribe house. Dernière modification le 1463886540000 |

First, lua can easily be abused to go against the rules. For example, one could write mean text displayed on the screen or lag out everyone. For this reason, only the module team and funcorp mode can load lua. Second, you already have alternatives. If you want to show off your scripts, do so here, or invite people to your tribe house. Or apply to get in module team. *strm rooms aren't made to let everyone be module team members or funcorp admins. Just to help new streamers. So there is no point creating a new type of room of this genre. |

If you want your modules to be recognized you can already do so by involving the module team. Regarding fun, why can you not have this fun in your tribehouse where you can also invite people to. I do not support. |

Well,Anythin, you're obviously a player that spams /inv often Coolfluby a dit : First, yes,I do understand it can be abused easily, but this can be done in a tribe house as well. The purpose of this room is to basically give somebody a personal room where they can run their scripts, just with more restricted permissions, for non-module-team players so less abusive things to happen..Similar to a tribehouse, just private(if password added),or more public. Second, module team barely accepts people, and nobody enjoys spamming /inv,and also,PLEASE READ FOR EXPLANATION. Third, this isn't a *strm room, just an international room where you can run scripts..a password can be added to close it.. Dernière modification le 1463924820000 |

The same can be said to tribe houses, but player enter tribehouses by their free will. They receive an invitation they can decline. A public room, on the other side, can be followed by friends when no passwords are set. The module team does accept people. If they didn't accept you, keep learning to be more competent. Restricting lua permissions to not abuse of it while leaving the scripter to load their scripts is quite hard. How will you select what gets limited and what not? If you stop them from spamming shaman items, then they won't be able to do certain things if their script relies on that. |

Lukamoii a dit : Nope, because in tribe houses lua already is limited compared to a public module room. Lukamoii a dit : So is a tribehouse not private enough? Lukamoii a dit : If your module is entertaining enough, you don't have to spam /inv to get people to come to your tribehouse. People will come in the prospect of playing a fun game. Just look at #uno, it's not an official module, yet a lot of people play this game in their tribehouse. And you don't have to join the module team to be able to work with them. If you work on coding a game together, they can help you test it in a public module room. |
