Ancient Mouse Ancient Mouse is a skill tree all based on numerous things found throughout history. The sneaky Goddess Elisah has brought back relics from the past to help her fellow mice gather their lovely cheese with old tools that once helped our micey ancestors! Don't be fooled by these old sandy skills, they once helped our ancestors gather their lovely cheese over the gigantic pyramids and the mysterious figures of Easter Island! The Ancient Mouse skill tree is a tree filled with skills that closely resemble things used in the past. The general look of the skill tree in the skills menu would be stone gray located on the far right. Please note that I tried to keep the skills realistic and not too crazy. I know some people would agree that we do not need anymore skill trees currently, however I suggest looking past the lack of space and just focus on the actual skills. Please give honest opinions and constructive ideas to help make this a better skills tree, thank you! Tier 1 Wind Shelter Cranks down the wind on a map by 0.5 (5/5) (we’ll use 10 as the example wind power) 9.5 / 9 / 8.5 / 8 / 7.5 Expansion Increases your shaman range however it decreases your summoning speed (5/5) Tier 2 Stone Block The stone block is a sandy colored boulder slightly bigger than the large crate shaman item with the added weight of an anvil. (5/5) 1% heavier / 2% heavier / 3% heavier / 4% heavier / 5% heavier Mutant Mice!! Increases mice size slightly (5/5) (normal size 10) 10.5 / 11 / 11.5 / 12 / 12.5 Sandstone Shaman planks become more slicker than normal (1/1) goes from 0.2 friction to 0.1 friction Tier 3 Tar Ancient tar was used on the battle field of ancient rome, however that's not the case here. Tar is a black gunky matter that can be placed along any ground for extra grip. It holds onto any chosen ground. Length of a small shaman plank (1/1) Hieroglyphics Allows the shaman to draw on the map to guide the mice. Things to draw: arrows, shapes, or designs. (5/5) art only lasts seconds; 3 seconds / 6 seconds/ 9 seconds/ 12 seconds/ 15 seconds Papyrus Scroll The papyrus banner is a banner with the looks of ancient papyrus that allows the shaman to manually type a shaman sign (i.e F options when shaman). The banner only allows 10 characters so use it wisely! (5/5) Tier 4 Glue Similar to the Restorative skill, the glue allows you to keep anydynamic ground in place anywhere on the map, however it will slowly slide down (5/5) Good Commander When the shaman sits down, mice around each other with cheese highfives eachother (5/5) 2 mice / 4 mice / 6 mice/ 8 mice / 10 mice Shield Mice Mice become able to collide with each other (1/1) Tier 5 Sandstorm The wind will come from the direction whence it spawned from. Being spawned on the right side of the map will cause the wind to come from the right, spawned from the left will cause the wind to come from the left.(5/5) 5 seconds / 10 seconds / 15 seconds / 20 seconds / 25 seconds Lending Help Adds an extra red nail to the shaman’s object list(1/1) This only works for easy and hardmode. Divine mode users will gain a yellow nail instead Indiana Mouse Given power for extra grip when wall climbing (5/5) 1 mouse / 2 mouse / 3 mouse / 4 mouse / 5 mouse Tier 6 Stone Age Spawns a non-dynamic stone ground with the width of 15 and the height of 75. The shaman is able to place this stone anywhere and it becomes a permanent ground for the rest of the map and cannot be deleted. Dernière modification le 1464498780000 |

/85 Percent Support I really like this idea for another skill tree. It can be really useful, however... Sandstorm could be used for trolling (depending on the map) If this was fixed/changed, then I would Fully Support this. ---------- natrats a dit : Ah, now I see. sabzra a dit : Actually, the Reflex skill increases shaman spawning time while it decreases your shaman range. More Range is a skill that decreases your summoning speed with the increase of your shaman spawning range. They're opposites |

Alright, didn't give a critique the first time because I briefly looked over the tree and didn't have time ! Tier One Feedback Let There be Light! might have to be changed because of the Campfire skill in Wildling, not because of the similarity, but because of the current demands people want for Campfire. I personally feel Expasion should be placed on a higher tier. However, if this tree is added, it wouldn't matter as it's possible it'd be locked until shamans reach a certain level. Tier Two Feedback Did a test with the Companion Crate and an anvil. Companion Crates are less heavy than an anvil. My test was attaching both objects on their own balloon and the CC very slowly floated while the anvil'd balloon sank. Point being, I support the Stone Box. Just needed to show evidence incase people felt CC were just as heavy. I love Evolution, but you have to rename it. There's a skill already called this in the Wildling tree! Why are they called Dusty? Tier Three Feedback I like this! Similar to Chocoplanks but so different! I imagine it stays in place like a red nailed plank. So I'm supposing the object is unspawnable unless there's a surface to put it on. Like how it's red outside of the shaman spawn range. Love Hieroglyphics! I personally think it'd be neat if it was the same color as the shaman's color. Not quite sure how I feel about Papyrus Scroll. There's not much you can say in 10 characters. I also feel it can be a distraction to building, while the "F" sign options are quick and easy commands/quotes. Tier Four Feedback So instead of object compatible, it's ground compatible? I'm alright with that. Good Commander is okay. I feel it makes more sense if it only affects mice with cheese to show how good of a commander they are! Shield Mice is trolly goodness. Tier Five Feedback Sandstorm is very interesting. However I feel it should depend on where the shaman summoned the sandstorm, like on the left or the right. You know, a little backfire to counter with the power of this skill. Could Ground Magic be possible? I like Indiana mouse! Tier Six Feedback Not quite sure I like this. I mean, I feel all shaman objects should be deletable. Also, its a ground. A shaman spawning a ground is so unheard of! But honestly, I'm not sure what to suggest in place at this time. |

These are pretty good. But Expansion shouldn't be allowed in survivor because the skill Eagle Eye isn't allowed in it |

Lucycat a dit : I honestly really appreciate the descriptive details with each skill, it will really help me fix the current skills that aren't satisfying. Responses for Lucycat Tier 1) Starting off with the 'Let There be Light!' skill, I understand deeply where you're coming from! I have also seen that thread and it just makes more sense for that, so i'll see what I can come up with to replace it for a better alternative. Tier 2) I wasn't aware the evolution name was already being used, I must've skipped over it while writing this late last night. It's an easy fix so i'll get right on that. I gave the 3rd skill on the Tier 2 the name 'Dusty Planks' because I was trying to keep an ancient feeling to the skills, however I didn't really like the name to begin with either so i'll fix that as well! Tier 3) With the Tar skill, you're able to stick it onto any ground such as ice, lava, etc to create a spot of solid footing for mice. It works exactly like a red plank to stay in place on that specific ground. You're correct as well about not being able to spawn it on anything other than a ground, if it isn't placed directly on a ground, it'll appear red like you said. This was one of my favorite skills so thank you for taking such notice! The Papyrus Scroll skill is a way for the shaman to interact with the mice without having to type in the chat and possibly having it being skipped over in the crowded chat box. Instead, the shaman could type onto a custom banner which can be accessible in the F menu during his/her shaman turn and posted on the map for better instructions. I also feel the same way about only having 10 characters to type in, it just isn't enough! I had to keep a reasonable character count to prevent a really big banner that could be used as a mere distraction with also being able to type just enough such as, run, wait!, don't go!, building, cannon, and so forth. Tier 4 You're absolutely correct about Glue, It will catch dynamic objects and keep them in place, but the ground will also slowly move similar to when mice run through cobwebs. Very slowly but surely. I could definitely see that happening with cheese, I'll definitely change it to that! Tier 5 I like your suggestion about Sandstorm depending on where the shaman spawns it should be where the wind comes from, it's only logical! About Ground Magic, it was one of my crazier ideas because I was simply running out, but after having an entire afternoon to think about some possibilities to replace it, I thought of a good few. Don't worry i'll replace it with a better alternative. Tier 6 "A shaman spawning a ground is so unheard of!" that's exactly the point! Why stick with skills that are all sort of similar to each other when we could risk having something new entirely!? I thought it was a little crazy but it definitely sounds useful, It would act like a normal ground such as the default ice, wood, etc. angelvintage a dit : It would be up to the admins or mapcrew on what skills would be put into survivor and what wouldn't if these were implemented. I don't like the Hieroglyphics and Papyrus skills because these can be easily abused, and shamans already have the ability to use arrows or to simply type in the chatbox if they want to give hints. These two things don't add anything new. I also see no point in having Glue when it is almost exactly like the Restorative skill. You basically have more of the same, the difference is neglegible when supported by boxes. Same comment for Expansion, there already is a different skill which allows shamans to have a bigger range. In that sense Tar and Indiana Mouse are pretty much the same skill too, they both affect grip in a similar way. Regarding Shield mice, I can't think of any reason why any shaman would allow collision, other than for trolling purposes. For this purpose this skill will likely only be used in survivor. Same comment for Sandstorm. The stone age skill is rather odd, having such a big item is very inconvenient for a lot of maps. It will be more of a hassle rather than a useful item. It should either be replaced by something smaller or removed altogether. To live up to the name, perhaps the shaman could use this skill to change all grounds on the map to stone. The things I think are okay is when variables like wind and friction (and perhaps gravity too) can be influenced. However overall I believe the skill tree lacks creativity and is sometimes far-fetched (Stone-Age?). |
