Staff members visibility |

Staff members visibility As you may know, staff members roam around rooms and play the game like any member. Whenever needed, you can use /mod to contact them directly. Titles My first idea is really simple, staff members get exclusive titles such as ''Staff'',''Sentinel', ''Mod'' or any function a staff member can have on Transformice. This way, it ensure their visibility in-game and make themselves known to others if they want to intervene in a room if people aren't behaving like they should be. Titles would obviously be removed from the account if someone becomes an ex-staff member. (Maybe also get a Veteran title if you were once in the staff who knows) Glowing Aura As I've done before here, I'll be talking about an old french chat that I used to play. Blablaland would let moderators have their avatar glow (they could deactivate it and pick different colors). *This is a picture of the moderation team with their exclusive police officer skin and their glowing aura on. This way, when problems come up they can show up and make a statement in a room where there's a problem. Their glowing aura also help people recognize them and makes it easier for new members to see them and ask them questions if they want to. Some people could say that having glowing auras would attract people too much but people will get used to it (Like they did in Blablaland.) and their presence can really make a difference when they walk in. I don't know if Transformice could support this but I thought it could be fun and useful. I know this is not a necessity but I think it could be a nice feature and it would also help the community and the staff members. This feature was useful on Blablaland and I think Transformice could also benefit from it. I'm curious to see everybody's point of view on this topic, /support or /nosupport ? Swim a dit : Mmmm I don't know It is possible to make lag because of some members are naughty lol |

Jkhggjkgjgfy a dit : What do you mean make lag ? With the glowing aura ? I don't think it would make any lag unless there's like 20 members with it (the same lag as the people mass using flags) |

i don't mind this, it'll at least let people know there is a mod in the room. |

Kaekat a dit : Exactly, I just feel like mods are non-visible and it gives a feeling of transparency and distance from the general community. |

/halfsupport It isn't really necessary since there's already a go-to command that shows both mods and mapcrew. And yes, I do see your point, but if it were always on then it would be annoying. So I guess I'm asking that if there's an option that comes with this that lets us disable auras both for the player and the mod, then yes I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea to implement. As far as I know about the titles suggestion, I believe admins are the only ones of the staff team have special/customized titles. But yes I mostly agree about it, however I don't think all mods would want to be unable to customize their own mouse that way. If there was a certain feature added instead to their current title such as bold or color i'd definitely go for it. |

Purpledimond a dit : As I stated on the first post, there is a way on the other game that I played to turn it in or off. The glowing part could be disabled if people play on minimalist mode or anything else. It's all open to what the staff wish to do with the basic idea I submitted, from then on they can do whatever they want. Dernière modification le 1501873260000 |

I find this to be another one of those suggestions where it's not really needed, and if it were to be needed then I am sure the moderators would have talked about it with each other. Sure, this suggestion would be good for players who randomly encountered a moderator within a room, however the cons of this would mostly go for the moderators, such cons would include but not limited to: unwanted attention most of all (moderators are players too, they are not bound to be a mod 24/7), another would be 0 anonymity -- this also goes towards the first problem but when a moderator comes to a room to answer a report such as hack or spam -- this could easily notify the player in question unless the moderator chose to go on an unknown alt account. If there was an option to turn it off and on, then what is the point in implementing it when most moderators who are working will turn it off + the moderators who just want to play the game? It seems to me that it would only be on for a very small amount of time, if on at all. Dernière modification le 1501890180000 |
