Change how the game handles the extra/rewards (green number) slots in material storage |

I'm posting this here, since this "issue" was treated as "not a bug" in this thread: https://atelier801.com/topic?f=652058&t=2875 The "issue" is the game reads the value of the extra slots, and only that one; so for example the OP of the above thread had a lot of dirty water, but he couldn't use it to irrigate a garden because the game considered the resource as only 2 units; instead of 65 as we would expect. Same thing happened to me at the stove, I have 21 units of meat in my storage, and 5 on the "extra" slot; and I couldn't cook a "Cooked chicken" since it needs 10 units, it was considering only the 5 on the extra slot, instead of my 26 total. I've noticed the same behavior when showing the available amount of a given resource in the research table; It doesn't cause a problem since you can consume any amount available, so it will first consume the amount in the extra slot till 0, and then show the amount in the normal slots. But for cooking, and probably assembly, recipes and garden, it will lock you out of using the resource unless you unload it from the extra slot to your bag's materials slots and load it back to normal stock slots. Which is an acceptable, but tedious, workaround. My suggestion is to modify how the game reads the available amount to consider both the extra slots and normal slots (and probably backpack slots too would be handy too to avoid having to unload them into the stock before using them) |
