Weapon Reviews What's it about? This thread's purpose is for users who are seeking additional information about a weapon's performance in-game through user-oriented reviews. Where can I find these reviews? There will be tabs at the top of the thread labeled "Primary", "Secondary", and "Outdated". How can I write a review? To write a review simply post below saying that you are. This is an example of where your review should be !
/ ! \ I'll be updating the thread as reviews come in, don't be alarmed if there aren't any right now ! / ! \ M4A1 - No reviews yet MP5 - No reviews yet SPAS 12 - By Spartttt, Overall rating 9/10 The SPAS 12 is a very great weapon for killing people. It only takes 3 full up-close shots to finish someone. The reason why you need to be close up to someone to kill them is because it shoots in 4 different directions for 4 damage each. You might think that 6 ammo per clip isn't a lot, but mostly when you kill someone, they're gonna drop some ammo or something, which you're gonna kill a lot of people. So I would highly recommend this weapon. I would highly recommend this weapon to people that are brave, shield users, and have some what experience. AK 47 - No reviews yet Famas - No reviews yet M40 A5 - By Ysobadbro. Overall rating 9/10. The M40 A5, popularly labeled as the Sniper, is a very versatile weapon at the right hands. It needs just 3 bullets to kill, and has unparalleled accuracy to any gun. It also has a slightly longer range than all other weapons, allowing you to sneak hits while being unnoticed, which is especially helpful in Domination. 8 bullets a clip may seem like little to an average user who much prefers blind firing their assault rifle to actually using their bullets with purpose, but if you're skilled with the weapon, 8 bullets is all you need. Most people are also unaware of the fact that the sniper is just as good close range as it is long range, if you're constantly moving. Reason for that is because you have the most freedom with this gun, since after each shot you're free to move around as normal until your next shot. Using this advantage, you can tease assault rifle and SPAS 12 users by moving around them, while they keep missing their bullets since they're forced to stand still while shooting and you're jumping all around them. The same thing can be applied with conjuration; you can use it to defend yourself in between shots which will stall out the other user in one-on-one situations, and you can even continue your assault since the M40 A5 can shoot up to 3 layers of conjuration if you're up-close to it. However, the weapon is not without its disadvantages. Since the new update, the M40 A5 only has 5 clips, which means that it will run out of ammo fairly quickly if you tend to not die. It also has great trouble with conjuration from afar because of its very slow fire rate; if there's too much, then you're forced to wait until they attack you back, or use a good secondary for digging through conjuration such as the Uzi. In fact, the aforementioned weapon is probably the best secondary to pair with the M40 A5, since it can take care of the problem with digging through terrain and conjuration, as well as having plenty of ammo to finish off your opponent if you run out of ammo for your sniper. But there's limits to every weapon, and these ones are no exception. The M40 A5 is probably the least friendly weapon to VIPs, since they cannot attack back well if there are tons of enemies on them. With most perks, such as Shelter, it is also not recommended since it cannot push enemies away from your base or towards a mine/C4 that you placed. You can do those with Uzi, but the lack of damage makes it less ideal for most people, unless they want to save ammo. This gun is not recommended for the average user who is not good at using conjuration or whose aim is poor. For those kind of users a weapon such as the Famas will be the better choice for them. But if you have very good aim, and you can use conjuration to your advantage, then you can easily turn the M40 A5 into one of the best primary weapons in the game, if not the best. G365 - No reviews yet AN94 - By Jjaakkee. Overall Rating 8/10. The AN94 works very well at long range because it's extremely accurate for a rapid firing weapon. It's damage is reasonable and you can pick off maybe 2 - 3 people with it before you die (If you're active in battle, and there are no bandages), but in a case where you're in a one on one situation it may be hard to kill the enemy without losing a lot of HP due to the 20 bullets per clip. Thus I recommend you get a good secondary that can reload decently and still deal a pretty good amount of damage such as the Desert Eagle. AN94 is a wonderful weapon, probably one of my favorites. I would recommend this to players who can trust themselves not to spray it around because a spray is not effective with its good accuracy. This weapon is best (In my opinion) for players who like accuracy, but also like rapid firing weapons. M60 - No reviews yet UMP-45 - By Solfn. Score 5/10. Description: The weapon that didn't get a chance. The UMP-45. Just firing this weapon in your hands feels like you're controlling a real powerhouse. It has an excessively light feel, making it very difficult to control. But you're right about it being a powerhouse: It has the second best damage per second underneath the spas, and performs the best at a distance, even overcoming the famas, the most formidable distance weapon, in distance-weighted damage. But in the heat of the moment, suddenly the weapon runs dry in your hands, and you go to figure out why, and the result is an instant turn-off. The clip only holds 14 bullets, and is exhausted in very close to 1 second. The UMP-45 fires at a rate of 12.5 bullets per second, possibly above this, making it the fastest weapon in the game. In addition, the UMP-45 has an amazing reload time at only 1 second. It also does 2 damage per bullet, and combined with its amazing rate of fire, does a whopping 25 dps, equalling the M40 A5, and falling only below the SPAS-12 (35.56 dps). In addition, the UMP-45 barely fails the distance test, having an accuracy of 10 degrees, where the required accuracy is 9 degrees - however, the UMP-45 turns out to have the greatest dps at a distance (22.74 dwdps) compared to the famas (21.25 dps). So why isn't this weapon being picked up by users everywhere? The UMP-45 has huge downfalls, especially in this version of trim fortoresse. A new update restricted the number of magazines in possession to just 5. The UMP-45 runs dry in a little over 1 second, and reloads in 1 second. So in total, the weapon would become useless in about 11 seconds. THAT DIDN'T LAST LONG... Not only that, but the vision of the UMP-45 is the same of that of weapon 2 - that means you can't see enemies in the distance as well they can see you!! That makes it incredibly difficult to aim at a distance, even if the weapon is the best in the game at a distance. In fact, I compared this weapon as being even worse than the MP5 - in essence, the ump-45 became the worst weapon in the game just because of this update. In fact, it was so difficult for me to use, even though I knew how good it seemed to be, that I dropped the weapon within the first 10 rounds of using it. In addition, the extremely fast rate of fire, combined with the sound effects and the low accuracy makes it really seem like you're experiencing recoil just from the sheer power of this weapon - this makes it very awkward to use, especially if you're converting from the extremely swift, light feel of the famas to this weapon. As a famas user, I just cannot use this weapon well, no matter how much I try. It's way too awkward with the limited vision and the extremely fast rate of fire and the low clip, and it just doesn't feel like a weapon I can use freely because of this update. So I thought: Why not use the ammo perk to resolve this issue? I tried this, and I didn't run out of clips - but it still felt restricted because the clip was just so damn low, and the vision so limited just like the MP5. So, I abandoned this weapon. I can only recommend this weapon to people who just want to try it -- it might not turn out the way I experienced it when you hold this weapon in your hands, but it is in fact a powerhouse when compared in unskilled terms, so give it a go!! MAIN POINTS - The UMP-45 is the best weapon in terms of damage in the game, just below the SPAS-12. - The UMP-45 has the fastest reload time and firing rate of any of the weapon-1s, making it seem like a good weapon for piercing shields. - The UMP-45 has a poor clip, making it near useless because of the fortoresse update on magazines. - The UMP-45 has terrible vision, making it extremely difficult to use at long distances. - The UMP-45 has a feeling of immense power when fired, making it extremely awkward to use. Final Rating: 6/10 STEYR AUG - By Tadame. Score N/A. Steyr Aug (SA) is definitely a better weapon than AN94 in terms of damage per second (20.4 vs. 19.2 HP), damage per magazine (90 vs. 50 HP), and damage per hit (4.5 vs. 2.5 HP). It is quite useful for shooting static players in close distance. Sometimes, you can even use it take down snipers because the former weapon has a much faster processing speed than the later (4.53 vs. 0.6 bullets per second [bps]). On the other hand, SA has a relatively lower ammunition per clip (20) and slower processing time (4.53 bps) compared to an average primary weapon (28.67; 8.51 bps). It is highly recommended that you choose Uzi (35 bullets and 14.2 bps) as a complementary secondary weapon. c: P90 - No reviews yet Beretta - By Shadowwinter. Score 9/10 The Beretta is a rather under-estimated secondary that not very many users pick up and often throw aside when they get enough potatoes for an Uzi or one of the other more powerful but slower secondaries. Overall the Beretta is an all-round secondary, it excels at (almost) any task but does fall off in some areas like digging but has more potential else where to counter it. This secondary can pack a real punch for sniping through cracks in barriers that the enemy create due to it's amazing accuracy, decent damage, fast fire rate and absolutely amazing reload. While most people would say that the clip is pretty small (17 bullets) and the damage is only 2 you really have to think about the weapon itself in battle. Firing at enemies crouching almost always nets you at the very least 1 damage and from experience it'll only takes you 2~3 clips to kill which is pretty good for a secondary. I wouldn't say it's on par with most primaries but it definitely can get the job done if you need to take down weakened enemies or even duel someone 1 vs 1 (with conjuration). The gun it self starts falling off when it comes to digging which is a pretty big part of the game, you can still dig with it however it's just a lot slower. if you're looking to pick up this secondary you really need to keep in mind that you're giving up some digging potential for better kill potential and should ask yourself if your play-style really needs to dig or if you'll be fine without it. (This weapon does compliment the M40 very well but I wouldn't recommend it to people who are new to the M40 itself). I'd recommend this weapon to people who don't really like the uzi and how easily countered it's damage is and are looking for a secondary that's accurate, fast, and still deals damage but don't mind giving up a bit of digging for it. Overall I'd give this secondary 9/10. ,357 Magnum - No reviews yet Desert Eagle - No reviews yet Uzi - By Fewfre. Score N/A. The Uzi is a unique secondary weapon due to it's firing speed and relatively large clip. While it's accuracy and damage count may not be that high, it main use is often for digging, so these may not matter as much as one would think. Because many primary weapons shoot slow, have a low clip, as well as all primary weapon's having limited ammo, the Uzi is a great secondary as it allows you to quickly get some shots in if needed, as well as dig your way through the map / out of conj without wasting a lot of time / clips. The biggest downside to the Uzi is that once your primary weapons runs out of clips, it is now your only available weapon. In terms of weapons statistics such as (DPS, damage per clip, and time to deal 40 damage, it is worst weapon to use for damage is nearly every way, and will rarely win in a stand-off shooting match without using conj, perks, or moving around. Glock - No reviews yet MP412 Rex - By Solfn. Score 8/10 Description: The best non-automatic beginner. The MP412 REX, sometimes discredited as the slightly slower cousin of the Desert Eagle, packs more potential than most people think. True, even though the REX's slower firing rate (2.2 bps) makes it a less versatile weapon against conj users than something like the beretta (6 bps), it makes up for this in terms of damage potential. In addition, the REX's damage per second (13.2 dps) is lower than that of the magnum and the desert eagle (15 dps each), seemingly undermining all incentive to use this weapon in combat. However, the REX is superior to all of the other weapon 2s in terms of dealing the most damage, as it carries the most damage per clip (72 damage over 12 bullets per clip), compared with something like the magnum (54 damage over 6 bullets per clip), or the REX's cousin, the desert eagle (45 damage over 9 bullets per clip). In addition, something like the desert eagle, at its fastest rate of fire, exactly cancels out the time required for the ducking animation to begin; in essence, the ducking animation begins 0.33s after a bullet is fired (a desert eagle fires every 0.33s). The REX, having a slower rate of fire (one bullet every 0.46s), now has a very brief space in order for ducking to take place (0.13s at minimum), making it a more versatile weapon against a fast firing weapon like a glock or desert eagle. In addition, the REX carries the most damage per clip out of all of the weapon 2s, trumping some of the well known weapon 1s, such as the famas, which only delivers 51 damage per clip, making missing a much more costly option when fighting a foe. Hence, given both foes are either ducking or moving around constantly, there is a higher chance that a REX would defeat a famas in a battle. However, again, given the REX's slow rate of fire, a firefight involving conj would make the famas much more formidable than the REX. In general, people should not judge a weapon only by its damage per second, as there are many other skill-related factors to consider when using a weapon. I would highly recommend the MP412 REX to a person who is trying a non automatic weapon for the first time, as there is much greater space for error given the REX's incredibly high damage per clip. MAIN POINTS - The REX delivers the highest damage per clip at 72 damage over 12 shots, making it the most likely weapon 2 to kill a foe in one clip. - The REX's slow rate of fire gives it a slight amount of room for ducking to take place, introducing skilled factors into the use of this weapon. - The REX is the best non automatic weapon for beginners. - The REX's slow rate of fire makes it a poor choice against conj users. Final Rating: 8/10 Nothing here yet, shh ! To be updated. Dernière modification le 1408536600000 |

I actually found evidence against the ump-45. Although it convinces you with its stats that it seems to be the king of weapon 1, its time to kill is the second worst in the game in the weapon 1s, ahead of the m60. So I'd probably drop my ump-45 rating to 5/10. :( |

Then that would mean the UMP 45 is only good to get rid of an injured soldier quickly (but the others can also do this kind of job). Could it be interesting to have a graph about the "Time To Deal" for any HP? |

@+Laurent Wouldn't that just look like this for every weapon? Just forgetting about the rate of fire though. (Because if we had rate of fire, then we would just have several jagged lines) In addition, they buffed the ump-45 just after I dropped the rating, so I'm not sure about it. I mean having LDPS curve of all weapons in the same graphic, I know that would be a mess when there will be a lot of them. EDIT: I don't know if it would be significant to have a such graphic but if we take an example with the M4 A1 and the Famas, the Famas is faster to deal 40 HP but the M4 A1 is faster to deal 60 HP. Thus some weapon could have an advantage over others depending of some criteria. Dernière modification le 1408793460000 |
