I vote zombie mode.
The game now,if I win,you lose. There should have one side to lose.
But when zombie mode comes, all players can stick to one side and against the zombie together,a win-win situation.

Except for it,I also want to vote
  • add new maps for VIP, domination, and flag capture modes
  • add a mini-map that shows the location of all players
  • Shop (add new armory and perks)

upgrades for armory and perks sound interesting, but it's complex,I can't say agree or disagree to this.
And I would like integrating mini-map into a perk. With this perk, you see all players.Without it,you can only see the whole map.
It seems there have no space for putting a mini-map,though it's mini already.I think putting it in the killing list is good. When your mouse on it,it becomes transparent to show killing list.
Also,I would like mini-map has two sides, one shows all,one is smaller and shows around you which you can focus to.Clicking to swap between two sides.

Except for these,I'm not interested about other selections.

(allow colour customisation of skins and hair styles)

The "flag capture time" , my idea that's all.

Thesnailgary a dit :
More peeps on flag area = More percent that goes up

This would probably be the best idea, as Supergrunt said.

I vote NO to minimap, unless -- at the least -- it only shows your own team / player's on opposing team within a very short range from your current location (and maybe a short range around others on your team, with flashing icons when team-mates take damage), as well as not showing the current state of the map. A perk could then be used to not only increase your range for a decent amount of time (on visible on your minimap), but could also leave a "beacon" that allows you (and others on your team) to see players around that area as well (beacon lasting maybe 30-60 seconds or so). And remember, you can switch perks during a game.

I'd also except a mini-map that behaved more as a "radar", with a small, occasional "blip" showing the locations of everyone, with a perk increasing the rate of the blips by 5x for you and anyone else within it's radius. Make using it a bit of cat-and-mouse, and would still give the defender the ability to lure opponents into a trap.

Also, there would have to be some clever placements with it.
A) Having it just partially opaque could work, but would still give whatever team was on that side of the screen an advantage from the top-left/top-right.
B) Making a "permanent" spot for it would eat up much-needed space
C) having it switch from side-to-side could work, but if it switched whenever you move / move a mouse across to the other side of the screen could be very distracting.

I forget if I've mentioned this stuff before, but I've thought on minimaps on-and-off for awhile and would love them, so long as they aren't OP

Also, I like the idea of upgrades, but I think they should be fairly negligible (and costly), even at full upgrade. This would make it more of an end-game / pro thing, but still make it relatively fair for new players. ex: at full upgrade you'd shave off maybe 0.5s on reload, and add 2 hp to the health pack, with maybe 10 "levels".

Sorry, I'm a bit of a pessimist; when I like an idea, I immediately try to think what's wrong with it, so that people don't get carried away, either making an idea out-of-scope / too OP.

I want everything updated, but we can only choose one :c
And a mini map could just help targeters, trollers and hackers.

There's no right and wrong answer to this question. What you've to do is to follow your heart and pick one answer that best reflects your most wanted update. Simple and easy.

That actually looks really cool the way you edited it in. Could be more of a radar that shows relative direction, not the terrain itself. A perk could disable this radar temporarily.

Very fast :

(ohhhhhh 3 perks, hack... )

Perks like that :

- increase range/faster update

- disable other/enemy radar

- create fake dots

(bottom left + it's a motion sensor in Halo and don't need update)

It's just an example...

What kind ?

I was forgetting the map is rectangular, not square, so that's actually a very nice spot for it. I don't think we need to add a button for it though, an option on the settings menu is probably enough.

I also like the idea of a fake dot, although I'm not 100% sure how useful it would be due to it not moving (might be useful for a short distraction, if it also removed yours until then).

The only problem with fake dots is that everyone would start using it resulting in the radar basically being turned off constantly and messed up, making it completely unreliable to use.

Honestly, the better use for a radar is a single button that allows you to ping the location of other players at a certain instant, and then the ping can only be re-used again after 5 to 10 seconds of cooldown. Then, this has the advantages of:
- Don't have to code in moving objects as distractions on the screen - the frozen image will just appear for a few seconds before expiring
- Can use reflective decoys to falsely lead a player to the decoy when they check the location of other players
- Can also even use absorption decoys to completely mask out the signal when the player hides behind it.

Another possibility: The detection could even be linked to the player just having the radar active. So every time they don't have an active radar, they are completely invisible to detection. Can probably call this a "satellite" since everyone has access to it and everyone that has access to it can see whoever else is accessing it.

Even better. You can have some kind of indicator next to the list of people and their points telling you who's accessing the satellite. Then, it will provide an incentive for people to keep their radars open even longer to see who they're watching and who's potentially watching them. So much paranoia.

Issues: Camping in domination. The retreating player can just turn their radar off completely and the manual searching process will have to start again. HOWEVER, the searching team can use their radars to indicate which areas they are searching to make it more efficient.

ANOTHER potential type of radar is a proximity radar or motion detector that just flashes an indicator at you to tell you if someone's entered within a certain radius of where you set it down. I can see this being possible because there's obviously some kind of motion detection around a landmine, all that has to be done is extend this radius and instead make the response some visual indicator on only one player's screen.

So if we introduce a radar mechanic:
- Pings every 3 seconds
- Can see only other people who are using the radar
- Hunters benefit more than runners as hunters have an incentive to keep their radars on to look out for each other and also to look for prey
- Runners can turn on their radars briefly to see if a hunter is close, however if unlucky a hunter will know that they have used the radar
- Perfect tool for VIP since they are always visible anyway and they can see if they are about to be ambushed
- Players can send out a distress signal of either red or blue (either to trick or to warn other players) but every player using the radar will see this
- The only way to tell the difference between a fake or real dot is to investigate or to leave the radar on to see if a particular dot moves (also exposing you to danger from other opponents)

To reclarify, the only reason the radar should only be able to see other people using the radar is because not using the radar means no benefit but no loss, but using the radar is high risk high reward.

I'd rather have the mini-map as a permanent feature that shows the actual location of all players unless you wish to turn it off like the particles' effect. The green mini-map made by +Supergrunt looks good to me.

Also, this thread is about your most wanted update. You're more than welcome to give reasons to support your answer and/or clarify your ideas if that is something you've chosen. There is no need to go into details discussing the pros and cons of a particular option or disagree with it. c:

But this is the discussion forum =p We obviously don't need to, but I for one like expanding on ideas to see what should be considered.

Also, I'm against seeing the locations off all opponents at all times (thus a "radar" / proximity effects would be fine), but other than that I've found a lot of the ideas quite interesting to ponder. A minimap for your own teammates seems great, but seeing all your opponents is just way to OP. Imagine a defending VIP / flag; it would make sneak attacks useless, and make defending even more OP.

I agree with what you said about the minimap/radar option; it renders sneaking around and other strategies useless (especially on VIP maps). However seeing where your teammates are located could help significantly, and Solfn's idea of distress signals could also be useful.

At this point I'd be glad to have any update...
By "Update" I mean something implemented that you can notice. Not just bug fixes or weapon stat changes.

Based on the results, the majority of voters (48%) would love to have a zombie mode update which was announced by the admins since Feb 17. I don't know what's going on at the programming side. Tigrounette has abandoned this baby (Fortoresse), perhaps?!

They have a high priority on Dead Maze and Transformice (+misc) so be patient and wait until September.

Well, probably a few months after September as they get some bugs / last minute changes implemented.

There's still a few "big" Transformice updates on the Trello, but it does seem to be winding down a little, so after Dead Maze is "stable" and Transformice gets a lull, I imagine we could hopefully get the "promised" Trello updates for Fortoresse / other games, if nothing else.
