I have not seen any common (usual) player lately....Just curious if anyone still actually plays the game...Or was I just not play more enough to see...

Yup It's dying most of the usual active players who most people know have quit and moved onto Tfm...like me.

I'm taking a break from Fort for a while. Hackers are getting worse and worse to deal with, the only life around is 1v1 and domination and I'm messing up a lot so I just need a long break.
Fort is, unfortunately, dying :/

I was never really on that much, but the fact that whenever I get on it's almost always silent (and even when it's not, it's never a "conversation") kinda makes it getting boring relatively quickly to me.

Fortoresse seems to be dying unfortunately; most of the people I know usually stay on other Atelier801 games like TFM and whenever I go on Forto there are a ton of hackers, and people I don't know well

I think it's dying because Atelier801 gives more attention to tfm than the smaller games it has. (just assuming)
Also as I heard there is no moderation or somethink that would prevent users from hacking there.... People will start leaving because of all the cheating there. It's not fun to play when someone is better that you unfairly.

To me Fortoresse was only fun in small portions rather than long extended periods of time and it's not something I'd see people wanting to play that much considering it's a casual game that doesn't really have much, if anything to it's competitive side. The game's always been really quiet but I don't think anyone would've noticed until something bad had happened like now.

As much as I hate to say it, the game's definitely not going anywhere anytime soon and reviving it at this point (or any of their smaller games) would just be a waste of time no matter how much a lot of us want it.

That is not true. On the link I said above, a mod says that the thing is broken so no one can moderate or get more mods on.

Custom games, like Forteresse and it's okay.

And with custom maps... really better.

It's THE problem.

Again? Wow this is the third time.

Well, Fortoreese never grabbed my attention, and sadly there's a lot of unfair fights and such. It's the only shooting game Aterlier801 has, and I do like my shooting games. It just needs a major update, with more things to do.

To have an answer, yes, it is definitely dying, or even has already died.
First of all, no one (even tig) will solve the problem of hackers around this game.
Also, tig didn't take action about the zombie mode, which means this game is being abandoned.
Lastly, I haven't seen any team that having the best teamwork. C'mon, only 2 or 3 working is not enough.

Like Few said most people don't even talk anymore it's just silence...

I guess everyone's taking a break from this mess..

My current "experiment" is to be "that person" who says the number of potatoes they get at the end of a round, and see if I can get people talking at least that much =p

And I do agree with +Supergrunt that custom maps would probably help the game out a lot.
