Nice idea, it seems it would do well if it was added. I support this. Much arguments. |

Shamousey a dit : Yes but it would be the players fault if they do not know that email they made their account on |

Sukhi a dit : That's true, but your previous point is null. Is there any problem with helping people who forget their email addresses attached to their accounts after several years? |

I originally had the e-mail for my account assigned to a Gmail I never used (as Hotmail wasn't working properly) and I will admit I myself forgot which Gmail it was on. Plus some people stop using emails for various reasons (I had a Hotmail I account I swapped for my current because of mass amounts of spam and such). That's definitely not their fault. |

What a huge security threat, horrible idea. Either only use one email or write down which one you use. |

Firestonnne a dit : Please feel free to enlighten me on how this is a security threat. Sukhi a dit : How does everyone benefit from map editor updates, when not all of the game makes maps? How does everyone benefit from racing or survivor being made official, when not everybody plays them? How does everyone benefit from new items, when some people wear the same outfit? The questions are endless. Besides, just because you personally wouldn't use it, doesn't mean it won't be helpful. Nobody's forcing you to support it, but nobody's forcing you to be a jerk towards people who are either. |

Sukhi a dit : When Admins don't have to take their time to read hundreds of contact forms of users asking for their connected email and following up on them, then they have much more time to answer contact forms that have been filled out that are of more importance or maybe even focus more on other aspects of the game such as reading this suggestion forum and adding in my suggestion because i'm marvelous. Sukhi a dit : It is the player's fault when they forget their email, yes, but in the end, those players end up inconveniencing the Admins by sending contact forms which fill up more of their time, making a more important report via contact form become bogged down within the flood of forms. This suggestion is to lighten the load for the admins. As a result of this, admins will have the ability to give slightly more time and attention to other matters. It's really not about who is at fault, but rather, how are we using our time effectively. Firestonnne a dit : Please elaborate on why this is a huge security threat (and to whom) and not make statements without proper facts to back them. Would just like to add/reiterate that many, many, many sites allow only you to see your connected email to YOUR ACCOUNT while YOU are logged in. Facebook, imgur, youtube, and many other sites, all allow you to go into your account settings to view your connected email. If you feel that's too much of a security risk you probably shouldn't use those sites. lol This would do nothing different than what most major websites have adopted themselves. I don't have to go to Mark Zuckerburg to get my facebook connected email changed because they have adopted a system which allows users to resolve these simple conflicts on their own. In regards to transformice, I'd like to say again that it does take two different passwords in order to actually change your transformice password. Both the in-game password and email password are required. This shouldn't be a security risk unless you're being stupid and sharing your passwords. Dernière modification le 1406538240000 |

I don't support. Specifically when you're using your personal mail. You also risk of getting tons of spam mails in case of hacked account. All I'd support for is giving the domain and a few letters of your mail(like first two) as hint to remember your e-mail, not full one. If I had yankeefan12@hotmail.com, it should say ya*********@hotmail.com or something like that. That should be enough to remember your mail. And I'd add a reminder not to lose your mail upon registering your mail. That's all. Dernière modification le 1406570040000 |

I still don't see it as that big of a security risk, but Ediz' suggestion is completely fine by me too, that should be enough information for people without posing as big as a security risk (even if already minuscule). Dernière modification le 1406585940000 |

Ediz a dit : I'd assume 90% of "I forgot my email" problems would be solvable through this. So i'd support it. I think the option to change your connected email should be coupled with this as well. (adding this to OP) |

Yeah, Ediz's suggestion is fine for me; but I'm still failing to see how it's a security issue. Spam will literally be it. You won't be hacked by ~*super hackers*~ lmao. But yeah that's fine for meeeee. |
