An orange and white tabby she-cat with golden eyes. Is a bit smaller than normal cats, and has a distinctive brown tail.
Formerly a loner, Mapletail ran into TroveClan territory a few moons ago, then decided to join the Clan. Since then, she has become a loyal but kind warrior.
Many moons ago, Mapletail was born during a dry leaf-fall season. Her mother, Blossom, had cared for her for some moons. But, on a rainy morning, she was terribly wounded by a rouge, when she was defending Mapletail and her siblings. She escaped the rouge's attacks, running deep into the forest. However, she never saw her mother again after that, or her siblings. This is how she continued to live on, as a loner... until the day she discovered TroveClan.
It was a cold, raining day. Mapletail and her siblings were instructed by Blossom to stay inside her den, while she went and tried to find food. Mapletail's siblings were wriggling around her, whining about having to stay inside. She was getting pretty annoyed of their complaining, and attempted to find a quiet place in the den to continue sleeping. Snuggling down, Mapletail sighed.
"Why do we have to stay inside? It's not THAT cold, right?" one of her siblings, Doefoot, cried. "I just want to stretch my legs at least!"
"You should be glad that you aren't getting your paws wet!" Mapletail called out to Doefoot. He only looked around at her, snorted, then went back to the entrance to the den. At least I was true! Mapletail thought, her tail twitching impatiently Doefoot started to look at her again, his green eyes flashing.
"You are the only who hates---" His voice was cut off by a loud, furious screech. Mapletail jumped at the noise, tail fluffing up. Her siblings started to huddle closer, shivering. A brown paw shot from the entrance, making her siblings flinch back with a terrified wail. The brown paw kept swatting into the den, claws stretched and gleaming. Another screech came, and the paw suddenly shot back out of the den. Mapletail shuffled around her siblings, and began to peep outside the den. Blossom was laying on the ground, covered in scratches. She was hissing loudly, as a large brown tom stood looming over her, eyes fuming with anger. Mapletail then realized what was happening, and spun to face her littermates.
"Blossom's being attacked! We need to escape!" she wailed, as another painful screech split the air. Doefoot was the first to get up, paws trembling. "But how?" he whimpered. The brown paw whipped back into the den, snatching one of her siblings by the scruff. With a horrible mewl, they were dragged out of the den. Terrified, Mapletail shot out of the den, tail fluffed. The rouge was standing above Blossom, who was bleeding so much. She was covered in wounds, and her sibling was pinned under the huge gleaming claws of the rouge. Without thinking, she dashed past the tom, and hurdled herself into the undergrowth. Loud wailing pierced the air, but Mapletail just kept running. Faster and faster, she plungled deeper into the forest, without ever looking back.
Days later, Mapletail tried to return to her old den. It was empty, and dried blood was scattered all over the ground. Brown fur lay everywhere, clinging onto the grass and stems. There was no sign of her siblings, or her mother. She wept quietly after the discovery, grieving the loss of her littermates. She continued to live on the forest, never finding a trace of her family anywhere. But Mapletail didn't give up hope. She continued to search for them, everyday with no luck. That's when... she came across the TroveClan camp. Still clinging onto hope of her family, she looked deeper into the Clan, eventually joining it in hopes her family would turn up one day.
