I considered myself a gamer for many years, but I always played the newest games and ignored what the oldies refered to as "the classics". You see, I was born in 2001 during the space odyssey. My first console was the playstation 2... I will never forget that 5th birthday, as tears ran down my cheeks from the emotion and I played my first videogame ever, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas... But enough of my own nostalgia. At some point I told to myself, why not try these so called classics? I mean they look old and boring, but what else am I supposed to do as a 17-year old, go out and improve my social skills? nah man, videogames is where it's at!
Thus started a journey that would change me forever.
I started slowly, deciding to start with the generation that came previous to my birth. So I got a playstation 1 from a ... haha! yeah right, I got an emulator for my laptop, and tried many different games, I won't list them since there were a lot and this review is about Custer's revenge after all, but suffice to say I liked the old games so much I kept going further and further into the past, into the 16-bit era, 8-bit... but then I wondered if I was actually going to try Atari games... The NES games were the ultimate advance in technology by comparison.
That is how I was introduced to Custer's Revenge.
I wasn't joking with the title, this is a real spoiler-free review. It is so free of spoilers I won't even tell you what the gameplay or story is about. I won't even show a picture of this game, the reason I do this is because the less you know about this game the better the experience will be once you inevitably try it. So go ahead and do it! You will do yourself a favor.
