Abdeltif a dit : Ahha thanks Broabdel, you read the whole thing and appreciated my work.. :D.. even if one person reads this, my mission is accomplished.. I thank you for that.. and yea, please do help me too.. if i need some things from you too xD |

It has been quite a long time (2 + 1/4 years approximately) since i had created this thread for the purpose of pursuit of knowledge. Through this thread, All of us dear members have really learnt a lot, I inclusive. So, I've decided that I actually no longer own this thread but open it for all kinds of scientific and mathematical discussions. Be free to discuss anything related to Science and Maths and Logical Reasoning here. It is Free-For-All. But yes, Please I request you to abide by the Forum rules and maintain discipline. We all can discuss various interesting things together. :D Dernière modification le 1454662260000 |

Hey, what do you guys think about "Gravitational waves".. these have just been discovered.. Feel free to discuss it here if you'll want to :D |

Well, Gravitational waves make me think of space golf, and space golf I'd love to see made possible. Like, having to calculate (by yourself, no calculators and computers!) the trajectory of the ball throughout a system. Extreme nerd golf |

Ahh.. okay.. That would be a great idea.. I challenge thee to a game of Space Golf! Even though its impossible and forbidden by laws of physics.. :/ |

Experimental paradoxes is a nice theme. It's like expecting with a high probability, but when you look at real life, it looks completely different. They are generally caused due to lack of knowledge or lack of information. Example : When you see a human emotionally sane, physically sane, and bundled with tons of decomposed sugar in their veins, you would expect him to be solving Collatz conjecture right now, but No.. you find him sleeping on his bed and screaming : I lack freewill. From a scientific prespective : lacking freewill is a weird answer. To me it more or less feel like a malfunctioning brain or having a weird reason not to get up at 7 AM instead of 13:00. Anyone got nicer examples ? I think there are really nice ones in physics, ones that lead to the, cough , the discovery of the quantum field of the world ? :) Dernière modification le 1495721040000 |

This is definitely something to speak about and is open for discussion for all! There are paradoxes of varied types and various sections of study after all.. Abdeltif a dit : This statement brings about quite a number of paradoxes in mind, one that stands out the most is the false paradox of induction that any substance of the same type have one same physical property.. For instance, this paradox uses induction theory and proves all roses to be always red.. When in truth and logic, is certainly false because it bases a whole assumption on just one common element.. |

By the way guys, anyone in love of mathematics can check my new blog, Hachem's Blog. In case people didn't know my name is Hachem , thus the name of the blog. Winjid a dit : That's because induction needs to be checked really carefully. Induction is a powerful tool, but one little mistake can "prove" all humans are rednecks. Another thing I find interesting distribution vs work efficiency. It's simple to review : 1 billion people in a country but 1% of the 1 billion hold 98% of the whole wealth of the country. The more unfair distribution there is, the harder it is to get a country to grow higher in terms of economics and science research. However we're assuming optimal distribution/efficiency as there is no lack of will to do the job. But when you look even closer, you find the other 99% of people helping to get 99% of the country's wealth, but only get 1% of the income, while the other rich 1% is simply lazy funding his money in projects and getting most of the profit. Now imagine if wealth was close to fairly distributed, and humans worked for as much as they gain. The result is : becoming a superpower in less than 100 years !
