*Day of District 1 Reaping* I sit on my bed on the day of the reaping, staring at my closet full of dresses, and other clothes. My mom is so set on me being that beautiful princess that I don't want to be. I see my white dress with blue ombre on the bottom and slip it on. I look at myself, and cringe. I'm volunteering today, I'm not going to be this pretty blonde in the arena in a week. I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and hair, then quickly twist my hair into my usual fishtail braid. I walk downstairs and see my mom and my older brother having a conversation by the window. She looks at me and says,"Oh Rose you look lovely!" My mouth turns to a crooked smile, and I mumble,"I'm volunteering today.." Her mouth drops, and I grab an apple and walk out the door to the center of our district. My best friend, Sarah stands next to me, crying because she knows I'm going to volunteer,"Rose! Please don't!" She sobs, I look at her and see all the memories we had and I give in,"Fine.." I sigh, I can't volunteer, I need to stay here with Sarah. The lady from the capitol, Emily Woodly, walks on the stage with gigantic pink heels, and a cupcake bright pink dress with sparkles all over it. Her hair is in a big nest of pink curls. "Welcome, welcome" She says in her preppy voice,"To the reaping of the 56th annual hunger games! Please turn your attention to the screen above," The capitol clip that plays every year plays, and Emily is beaming, it shuts off and she smiles. She clears her throat and says,"As usual, ladies first!" She trots to the bowl and pulls out a paper, "Sarah Scherrer!" I look at Sarah and a tear falls from her cheek, "I volunteer, I volunteer as tribute!" I scream immediatly. |

*Day of District 2 Reaping* Clara waited in line to get her finger pricked. She had been worrying about this event for months, even though she knew she probably wouldn't get picked. She was usually one of those people that just stood and watched as other people got torn away from their families. Considering that she no longer had a family she knew that no one would mourn her if she got picked in the Reaping. She was torn away from her thoughts when the man at the table grabbed her hand, pricked it, and sent her off. The rude gestures just reminded her that the people from the Capitol had no feelings for the people living in the Districts. They just used them for work and entertainment. They're so sick. She didn't think anything about the Hunger Games was right since it served no real purpose. All that the Games provided the people of the Districts with was fear. She held back a tear, thinking about all of the innocent people being forced to kill for their lives. The only sounnd that she could hear that day was silence, of course there was the occasional weaping mother or child, but mostly just silence. The crunch of the gravel beneath her feet was the only thing she focused on while walking over to her age group. When everyone was in their places the lady on the stage, Gina, began the speech. The same speech they recited every year with the same old video. While it was playing everyone just stood there, looking up at the stage in silence. Once Gina began speaking, Clara tried so hard to tune her out. She didn't want to listen the peice of shit speech she had to say, all she wanted was for the Reaping to be over with. "Okay. As usual, ladies first." considering what Gina did for a living she always had a cheery lilt to her voice that never faltered. She dipped her perfect sparkly nails into the glass bowl and picked out a white card. "Clara Wilson." She recited off of the little white sheet of paper. Clara's heart sank and she stopped for a moment. It must have been a mistake, maybe she misheard it. Her name was only in there 3 times, when other people had theirs in at least 20 times or more. Althought she had known there was a possibility that her name would be called, that didn't prepare her for this to happen. She stumbled across the path with the hostile help of the guards, and walked up the stage. Her face was expressionless. So many emotions were passing through her that she didn't know what to feel. She stood on the stage helplessly staring out at the rest of her district and had to keep herself from almost having a break down right there on the stage. |

*Day of District 7 Reaping* Jay stood in the line where all of the other kids filed in. He stood, three spots away from getting his finger pricked. His hands shook slightly with fear. Is it gonna be me? He thought to himself... There is a 1 in 100 chance I'll be picked. He reassured himself slightly. His eyes still fluttered with fear, blinking rapidly as the lady said. "Your hand." She sounded almost robotic, Jay thought to himself. His thoughts were shattered as his finger was pricked and he moved forward into the crowd. He had done this 2 other times before. He knew the drill. But he also knew how scary it was when Viim's hand goes into the glass bowl and chooses a person to go into the hunger games. He stood in the center with all the other boys his age. All looking straight forward at the deck where Viim would enter and then begin. Jay could hear the little girls and boys, their first times screaming and crying as their mothers ushered them to their zone, sobbing themselves. Jay thought back to his mom and his sister. His sister was forced to stay at home and his mom was here, and he felt her eyes burning on his back. Jay had taken Tesserae, which was food provided by the Capitol in which your name would be put in more times. His name was in there 12 times. But some of these boys had their name in 30! But still, even the littlest amount could still bring you up there. Then, it got quiet. As the door to the reaping house got pushed open and the mayor sat down. Viim flew out in her purple dress, and her long green hair that she flipped back and forth with a smile. "Hello everybody and welcome to the reaping of the 56th HUNGER GAMES! Ooh so excited isn't it." Viim said cheerfully. She beckoned to the crowd for a response, but silence was the only thing she got. "Anyway, we have a video for you. To show the Capitol's generousity." Viim raised her hand to the giant screen. The video ended. Basically it had said why they were at the hunger games. Because of District 13's rebellion. Viim smiled and waved for the audiences attention quickly. "Okay, ladies first!" She walked over to the glass hole and stuck her hand straight in, and in an instant ripped a card out and grinned. She walked back over to the podium. Slowly, she opened it. "Simyst Zuest!" She announced. Her eyes panning the entire audience, as the people around Simyst Zuest moved away and cleared a path for her to the center. Jay saw her get pale as the peacekeepers stuck around her until she was up there. Viim nodded to her. "Now, for the men!" She stamped over to the bull, pulled out a paper, and walked over to the podium. When she opened it, she opened her mouth "Jay Crovun." His vision went blurry, his legs felt wobbly and his stomach growled. He heard the echo of his name through the entirety of his brain. His legs began to move subconsciously toward the center. His eyes were in sheer shock as he was suddenly on stage. "Now, let's give a hand for our lucky tributes!" No one clapped except Viim. Then, they were pulled into the reaping home. Jay spotted his mom and looked at her, yearning for her to come and take him away from the Capitol's hands. But he knew... there was no escaping the Hunger Games. |

I looked at Sarah as tears rushed down my face and I stepped slowly towards the peacekeepers, as they wrapped their hands around my arms. They led me to the quartz steps and let go, pushing me up. I stepped up all the stairs, I didn't think it would feel like this. I thought it would feel amazing to represent my district.. I wiped off my tears, I can't break down. "A volunteer!" Emily cooes,"What's your name darling?!" I look at her and smile,"Rose Glimmer." I say trying to be as happy as I can,"Glimmer... Now are you related to that Cara Glimmer?" I nod, staring at my feet,"Anyways.." Emily says,"Time for the boys!" She walks over and pulls out a white slip of paper,"Tyler Rodriguez!" He's my age, an aggressive kid at school. He steps out from the crowd with a huge grin on his face as he fixes his dark hair. Nobody volunteers. He steps up the stairs, smiling still. Emily pulls him up,"Your District 1 tributes!"She says, raising our hands. She has us shake hands and then escorts us to where we meet our loved ones. I sit in the room as Sarah bursts through the doors, I run up to her and hug her,"I'll come out for you!" She's sobbing,"Yo-you shouldn't have volunteered for me!" I look at her,"I had to, you never liked it! I'll come out-" A peackeeper slams the door open and pulls Sarah,"I promise Sarah!" My mom and brother came next, my mom hugged me,"Why Rose?!" I stared at my feet,"I wasn't going to! But I couldn't let Sarah go in there!" We just hugged as a family, until the peacekeeper came, my mom dropped a necklace with a locket in my hand and walked out. I was led to the train with Emily and Tyler. I sat down in a chair and looked up at Tyler who is still beaming,"Do you have a token?" I said trying to start a conversation. He looked at me and seemed to leave his daze,"I don't need one." He winked. He's so confident. I stand up and go to my room, I switch on the tv and it shows footage of the other districts. I turn the tv off and look out the window, it's not a long drive to the capitol from District 1 so I walk back out to meet our meantor, who's already talking to Tyler. |

After the Reaping when she told them that she didn't need to say goodbye to anyone they set her in a room and told her to wait until they come to get her for the train ride there. Clara had no family or friends. Her mom and dad had died from hunger a couple years ago, and she has been living on her own and supplying for herself since. All of the other kids her age felt sorry for her and gave her pity. After a while it got annoying, and she just ignored them all. She isolated herself from the rest of the District. Most of the time she felt lonely and depressed, but she got through it. She lived in a small shack on the outskirts of the town where no one else lived. The only times she would go into town was to work or get supplies. Everyone looked at her with pity, but she ignored them. She didn't want their pity and hate when people try to baby her and make her feel better. She would rather be alone then have people around her pitying her all the time. Her head was still spinning with thoughts about what had just happened. She wondered what she was going to do and how she would survive the Hunger Games. She was a very skilled fighter, and had been ever since she was little when her dad taught her everything she needed to know about fighting, but she was still doubting whether she would survive or not. Some people from the other districts dedicate their lives to training for the Hunger Games and volunteer as a tribute. "I need at least one ally who is trustworthy and will help me in the game. I can't backstab them, but we will backstab other people who try to befriend us." She thought to herself. She needed to overcome seperating herself from other people. A while later the guards came into the room and took me by the arm, dragging me to the car. They violantly tossed me in and went to go get the boy tribute from our District. my heart ached as I watched him being pulled towards the car by the guards. His name was Peter, and he was only 12. He had light brown hair, and fair skin that made him look very young. His eyes were a hazelnut brown that was showing how scared he really was. His name had only been in there once, and still he was picked. She couldn't imagine how that could feel. To be picked on your first year, and go through something so terrible so early in your life. For once in her life she was giving someone else the pity instead of the other way around. On the train ride there Gina talked and talked, trying to make us feel good about this whole experience, but it really just made things worse. All she wanted to do was forget about what was happenening, and she was just being reminded of it the entire way there. Peter just stared out the window the whole train ride, tears in his eyes. He was trying to be strong, trying not to cry, but you could obviously tell her was upset. Everytime the tears in his eyes threatening to spill over her blinked them away. She looked at him with pity the whole time. She wanted to do something to make him feel better, but she wasn't good with people and wouldn't know the first thing to do. "He needs someone. No one is going to want to team with him in the games. He's too weak and frail." She thought to herself. That's when she decided that Peter was going to be her ally in the games, even if it got her killed. She wanted to atleast attempt to save him. He had a family to get back to, she saw them when he was called for the Reaping. But she didn't, so what was there to lose? |

Jay and Simyst were sitting on a sofa in the train. Simyst had elegant, wavy blonde hair and her eyes were brown. She wore a nice, leafy green dress and she sat with a straight posture. Jay sat on a couch opposing to her. Staring at the floor, thinking about what his mom says. "You'll win... I believe in you... We... believe in you." She encouraged him to do his best. Jay had doubts though, Simyst was known for being a good hunter with a bow. And who was she? Did she want to team up in the games? Jay's mind kicked into gear. He raised his gaze to hers and before he could speak, she did. "We should go find our mentor, if we're gonna have any chance of winning." Simyst's voice was so soft, and crispy that Jay was surprised. How could such a lovely, nice women be put through such a horrid thing. The door flew open and right stepped in their mentor. She looked at them both, getting a feel for who they were. She sat down and looked at them. "Jay and Simyst. Both slender... good looking... could get some good sponsors. I'm Violetta." She had a very rugged voice, and she sounded a bit low and depressed. "I like to use an Axe. It's what I'm comfortable with." Jay piped up. He didn't really think about it, it just came out. Simyst mimicked him and said her weapon of choice: A bow. Violetta had smiled at them both, and nodded. "The bow will keep enemies away from you, but you'll need to find a knife or something to defend yourself in closer combat. And the axe is good as well. Two ends both piercing sharp. You can also throw it too." Violetta said, as she continued studying them. After long silence, Simyst piped up, "It's Called the Hunger Games... so what do we do about Hunger?" Jay knew she was asking the question for him. She could easily catch food with a bow, but with an axe it might be much harder. "Traps. Herbs. In the actual training room there will be an area to help out with traps, don't worry. You need to worry about shelter though." Simyst smiled as she answer quickly, "Easy make a fire in a cave somewhere." Violetta shook her head. Jay looked at Violetta and slowly said, "Up high..." "But then what about the cold? You'd freeze to death at night!" Symyst countered him. Violetta smiled at them both. "Getting the high ground is good, but having a fire all night will just lure the other tributes toward the light, as well as the smoke. The coldness is a problem, so I suggest making a fire, warming up quickly then running far far from it." Jay nodded slowly, taking in all the information. Viim burst through the doorway, "We're here!" |

A girl was sittinng in the chair talking to Tyler, she had wavy brown hair and seemed to be pretty. I walked over to the chair next to Tyler and sat down,"Hi, I'm Rose." I smiled at her,"Ah, my volunteer," She beamed,"I'm Ruby, I won the 52nd Hunger Games." I thought back to the 52nd Hunger games, it was a snow arena, and almost everyone died of hunger or hypothermia. I smiled, Ruby was smart, she tricked people to win. But she was violent.."So what's our plan?" I ask her quickly,"Ah, smart girl." She winked at me,"You're a career, intimidate the tributes in training. Always go to the bloodbath. And be ready for anything. Now, what are your weapons of choice?" She looks at Tyler, then me,"Swords," Tyler immediatly says. I laugh and say,"Knives, throwing.."Ruby smiles, and looks out the window, ah the capitol. She stands up and walks to a table, she throws me a banana and laughs, walking to her room. I look out the window at the crowd. I smile and wave at the crazy capitol fans, I need to get sponsors. I need to get sponsors. Tyler walks behind me, and puts his hand on my shoulder, I swing my arm around, as a reflex and hit him right in the stomach. I turn around and look up, he's really tall, about 6'3", "I'm sorry!" I squeal. He smiles, "Is that as hard as you can hit?" He says with his crooked smile. |

On the train ride to the capitol Clara was staring out the window the whole time. She was trying to forget what was happening and pretend like she wasn't there, on the train ride to the Capitol, but she couldn't. It was harder than she thought. She rose from her seat and walked over to the table of deserts. If she was doing to die she might as well eat something right? She grabbed a plate and grabbed a couple things off of the trays. She looked over to the left and saw Peter sulking in his seat. She walked over to her seat next to the window, across from Peter, and offered him what looked like something covered in chocolate. He smiled and grabbed it graciously. After what seemed like forever they started to hear crowds cheering nearby. That meant that they were close to the capitol. She wasn't metally prepared for all of this. She didn't like big crowds, or people from the capitol. "Come on." she said to Peter as she offered him a hand out of the seat he had been in for the past who knows how long. He smiled and walked over to the window with her, and they stared out at the huge crowd standing outside of the train. "I don't like crowds." he said as he looked out at colorful crowd of people. "I don't either. Just smile and wave and you'll be okay. If you're nice to them they'll vote for you in the hunger games. Especially since you're young. You'll have a lot of people on your side." she advised to him and gave him a weak smile. "Thanks." was all he could say before the doors to the train opened and wehad to face the reality of what was happening. She grabbed his hand, not just for her, but for him too, and they walked out of the train into the crowd of people. |

A loud bass of joyful screaming, clapping, and drums being played as the train skirted to a stop in the Capitol's station. Through the white-metallic train walls clapping was faint but still there. Through the windows, people stared in waving and cheering with all their might to get a look at the District 7 tributes. Violetta stood up from a red couch and sighed with an unwilling smile she walked toward the doorway. Symyst quickly jumped up from her seat, putting her cinamon roll down on a white plate. Symyst walked forward to get out of the cluster of chairs and food. She turned around, pushing the blonde hair from her face and she smiled at Jay. Her hand extended outward. She was tan and skinny. Jay returned her smile and took her hand, getting up and placing himself beside her. Viim crossed the room with a clap and a cheerful smile on her face, the pink lipstick making her look like a clown. "Put on your smiles and lets go. Mind the grabbing hands and the lovely women." Viim advised, with a wink to Jay. Jay narrowed his eyes and looked away from her, but quickly snapped back into place and put on a wide smile. Viim opened the doors, her hand leaving white make up on the golden knob. It turned. Light. Screams. Claps. Jay shut his eyes for a couple moments, taking in the vast sunlight shining upon him. He smiled and waved at the lines of people on either side of him. Symyst was beside him, she was smiling and eaving too. Symyst looked down at Jay's hand. She clasped hers around his. He tensed. His eyes averted toward her and gave her a shocked glance. "Raise our hands together. Show them we're strong." Symyst pressed, looking at Jay with a hopeful glance. He nodded. They raised their hands in two fists and stuck the smiles back on their face. The crowd roared again with joyful clamor. Jay looked at her and nodded, basically thanking her for making them look strong and likeable. This would help them get sponsors. ~.~ Earlier in, the tributes were in their seperate cleaning areas. They were small rooms where the tributes would lay on the bed and be plucked, skinned of their hair, washed, etc. This would clean them up where they would then see their stylist. Jay waited in a small room, the walls around were white and he felt like they were boxing him. Like they were shipping him elsewhere. He sat on a chair that was uncomfortable. He shifted twice and then gave up and stood, leaning against a wall. He ran his hands through his hair and sighed uncomfortably. He hadn't had any moments alone to think about the Games and his fate until now. He began thinking as his thoughts bit at his heart and he was crying on the inside. He didn't not have much survival training, only able to fight. Many tributes in the hunger games die of natural causes. He didn't know how to make a fire, either. Jay felt that he was screwed. Before he could delve even deeper into his mind and place even more unconfidence into his brain, the door opened. It dind't look like their was a door there and he gasped quietly, getting his posture back. The person in front of him was pale with bright blue hair that parted to the left. His eyes were an ugly brown color and his clothing was of the capitol, senseless and too flashy. Jay greeted him with a partial smile and shook the mans hand. His grip was firm, Jay thought and the main smiled. "I'm Beaury. Your stylist. Lets skip hi's and dive straight in. We're going traditional. You and your partner will be being tree like. I'll be painting you with leaves and branches, and your body a trunk. Deal? Deal. Now lets start." |

I walked outside of the silver train, and smiled as much as i could as i waved to the capitol people and twirled in my dress, blowing kisses. I am not this kind of a girl, I thought as I walked forward still beaming. I'm so fake. I think about what's going on, I might get killed. I stare at the floor as I walk behind Tyler. I bump into him, and as clumsy as I am, I fall. He turns around and laughs, as he grabs my hand and pulls me up, I blush and push him forward. I keep walking and we end up in a room full of capitol people, Ruby pushes me towards a man of pale skin and an aqua colored hair. I look up at him and he smiles, "Hi I'm Maxwell, I'm your stylist." I laugh at his name on accident, and quickly say,"Rose.." and look at the ground. He leads me to a table that I sit on, "We'd usually clean you up, but since you're in District 1, you're already cleaned up." He grins and I nod, as I watch the other tributes come in, I study how they look, and easily figure out which ones want to be here. "Sooo," Maxwell starts, "Do you have anything in mind for your dress, for the opening ceremony?" I look up, "I- I thought you designed it..." He laughed, "Well I want to know your style, personality. I can't throw you in something you don't like!" I smile, "I like blue... and silver jewlery if I have to.." He smiles and claps his hands, I have the perfect idea! I'll meet you in you're Suite at 7:00PM sharp!" I smile, and Ruby comes and walks me to the elevator. All the other tributes are walking towards it too. The boy from distrivt 7 bumps into me, and I push him to the ground and scream, "Watch it!!" And quickly walk away... I didn't mean to do that.. I think as I walk extremely close to Tyler, continually looking back.. |

Clara and Peter walked out of the train hand in hand and walked down the isle with smiles on their faces. They were fake, it would be surprised if they couldn't realize that by just glancing at them. But I think they were oblivious enough to think that they were actually happy to be there. They waved, clapped and cheered making so much noise that she had to resist from covereing her ears with her hands. She looked over at Peter. He didnt look fightened at all. He could have fooled anyone into thinking he was okay, even Clara. When they got up to the entrance of the building men dressed in white suits opened the doors for them. When they walked inside the of the huge building they were surrounded by the people that were going to help them get ready for the chariot ride. Everyone was asking them questions and greetings them with smiles. It was very overwhelming for both Peter and Clara. She was interrupted from her thoughts by a short pudgy man with light blue eyes He had green hair that was covered in sparkles and weared an outfit so colorful that it took a minute for her to register it. "Hi, I am your man stylist, Xotic. I'll be taking you into the back room where we will get you ready for the chariot ride." he said with a smirk. She smiled back and simply replied, "Okay." She usually would have said more, but she was overwhelmed by the whole experience and didn't know what else to say. They seperated Clara and Peter and took them into seperate rooms to prepare them. They walked down a long hallway with many doors labeled by districts. It didn't take long for them to find district 2's door, and they walked into a room that had many utensils scattered everywhere. mainly makeup brushes along one counter, alone with a lot of makeup stacked ontop of one and other. There was probably more in the doors that seemed to be barely shut due to the amount of things it had inside of it. "You can sit down on the chair right there. You will be ready in no time." Xotic said with the same smile he had given her earlier. She walked over and sat on the chair and let them do their thing. |

[A couple hours later. The Chariot ride about to begin.] All the tributes gathered in a giant open room. The cieling was very high up, which seemed to make everything echo slightly. Tributes talked among themselves in heated whispers as they glanced at others seeing their outfits. The chariots were big an looked empty, the golden trimming along the outside flashing and giving the black horses a brighter look. Jay and Symyst stood at their chariot, both looking almost like a tree. On their feet, they were wearing long pants/dress(for Symyst) that made their legs look like a trunk of a tree, the color of the wood milky brown. As it went up, their shirts were green but showed off some places of skin around the stomache and sides of them. Along their arms and face was paint. THe paint was green and glittery as it looked like leaves on them, as well as a brown line going down to make it look like stems. Jay stood their in silence looking at himself. "You look fine." Symyst soothed him. Jay gave her a smile and nodded to her, basically telling her that she does too. Their eyes began to scan the other tributes at the same time, scoping out all the districts. "Their fishing outfit looks cool." Jay declared, subconsciously looking at the remaining tributes' costumes. "District 2's, as well." Symyst loathed, wanting to look as healthy and strong as them. Then there was a horn, signfying that it was time for them to get into their chariots because the chariot ride was about to start. Jay got into the chariot carefully, making sure not to rip the fragile fabric of his pants. He offered Symyst a hand. Gratefully, she took it and got up next to him. "Remember, we have to look strong and united. Don't flinch when I grab your hand." Symyst joked, giggling slightly. Jay laughed at her giggle and nodded in assurance. Jay's eyes watched as the District 1 chariot took off, and all followed. He prepared his smile, as the soft clicking of the cow's hooves on the floor was basically music to his ears. Line after line, until finally his chariot was moving. He put on his smile and suddenly he was in the big room. Crowds of people screaming and cheering. Drums playing beside him and cameras displaying his face on screens beside the chariots. The crowd screamed and roared, throwing flowers and candies down at the floor beneath him. He raised his smile and waved toward the crowd. After a moment, he stopped, grabbed Symyst's hand, which /she/ flinched at, and he raised it with her. The crowd screeched with excitment and could just imagine Caesar saying his name, saying how nice he represented his district. His ears began to ring with all the screaming, but he did not care. Jay knew he made quite the impression. |

Rose stood in front of the mirror admiring her outfit Maxwell made for her. It was a light mint dress with silver jewels all around the bottom and chest area, with a white ribbon at the waist. She hugged Maxwell and whispered, "Thank you." Into his ear, as she was led off by one of the girls stylists to the room where she was to get her hair done. She sat on a chair in front of a vanity as the stylist began braiding her hair, "Can you do your own makeup?" She whipered to the quiet Rose, "Yeah, of course." Rose smiled, her mom had taught her how to do her makeup so she could impress boys at school.. She quickly did her makeup relitivley the same colors as her dress. As the stylist finished her hair she looked up and smiled, it was a fishtail braid, leading to a bun, with a silver bow that was huge. Rose once again said, "Thank you." As she got up to meet Tyler in the hall, she walked out and Tyler smiled, and grabbed her hand. He was wearing a black suit and mint tie, with silver and mint flfowers in a pocket. Rose looked back to grade school, "We look like we're going to a prom date," She laughed, recalling that proms happened in high school a long time ago, her history book had pictures of dates, "Well it is District 1 I guess.." Tyler said smiling as he looked straight forward. As Rose and Tyler walked into the circle of the other tributes, Ruby, and Emily ran up to them. Emily held a huge necklace with a bunch of diamonds, and Rose's mouth dropped. "You can't have Rose without Glimmer." She winked and put the necklace around roses neck, as the horses trotted next to the tributes. Rose studied the other tributes as she still held onto Tyler's hand, "I like District 2's outfits this year," She said smiling, "Yeah, but ours are better." Tyler winked. A peacekeeper walked over and told the pair to get onto the chariot. Rose and Tyler boarded it at the same time and smiled. Rose squeezed Tyler's hand and smiled to the crowd as the horses starting moving, and the Opening Ceremony begins. The crowd roared as the first chariot started to show up, and the audience screamed for their outfits, Tyler squeezed Rose's hand and leaned over, to kiss her right on the cheek, the crowd went crazy and threw roses and other goodies towards their chariot. Rose blushed the whole way through as she watched herself on the screens all around the chariot. She had a huge smile on her face as she blew kisses towards the capitol people with her left hand, squeezing Tyer's hand all the way to the end. As the horse pulled to a stop she smiled as the rest of the districts chariots formed a circle. |

After Xotic finished dressing them in their outfits for the chariot ride Clara took a look at herself in the mirror and was surprised at how stunning he had made her look. He had somehow managed to make her look semi decent for once. After they were done putting the finishing touches up on their outfits they walked them over to their chariots and prepared them to enter the stadium. Clara and Peter stood on the chariot looking at all of the other districts' tributes. Most of them looked intimidating, with exception of a few districts. They were all talking to one another and getting to know the other districts, but Peter and Clara just stood on their chariot and waited to be told when they had to go. The crowd bursted into cheers and scream when district one's chariot flew by, and did the same with all of the other districts. They didn't seem to favor any districts so far, which is kind of a good thing. Peter and Clara rode down in their chariot faking smiles and waving at everyone. The experience was actually quite scary for both of them. She was afraid that if she didn't start talking to other districts and trying to win people other that she won't have any alliances. When all of the chariots finally stopped in thelarges circle that they formed at the end of the path the crowd hushed down. Snow was standing there waiting for the crowd to go completely silent, and then began his speech, "Welcome tributes. You all look lovely this evening, I hope you are looking foward to the games this year. I know I am. I hope this year is better than any before it, and I wish you all luck in the 56th Annual Hunger Games." and just like that he walked out with a smile plastered to his face. |

[Next Day - Group Training Day] All the tributes lined up inside a room. The room was large with many areas for different things. Weapons lined different walls and there were mannequins posed in different poses at some stations. There were even some habit stations to try to help you learn how to hunt and start a fire. The room was plain and metallic, but still everything in here was intimidating to Jay and Symyst. A girl walked down the line her eyes sticking to each and every one of them for a second, then moving away to stand in the center and begin speaking. Jay's eyes were stuck on the axes that lined the wall. There were so many different types, he loved it. He pushed down a smile as he got excited to finally wield his weapon of choice. The girl began to speak. She was quite short and black, her hair was long and blonde. She wore a black jump suit, not matching anything of what the Capitol citizens usually wear. "This is your group training time. Here, you have free will to practice any skill you want. No fighting, you'll have plenty of time to kill each other in the arena. There are different stations for different weapons. Stations for making fires, hunting, and there are simulation stations too. Press a button and it simulates targets for you in a room. Understand? Now break." She announced and walked off. All the tributes jumped up and quickly walked to where they wanted to go. Jay immediately began to move for the axes, but Symyst took him by his wrist. "I know you want your axe, but you need to learn how to hunt. You'll be at a disadvantge. Go there first." Symyst stared at him in the eyes. He frowned, then walked toward the wall, grabbing an axe, and then walked into the hunting zone. When he got in, it was like a mimick forest. There were trees and grass, it smelled kind of like a real forest did. There were bird noises and some rustling of the bushes. It felt real -- It felt like home to Jay. Jay turned quickly and looked at some instruction. Traps and hunting skills. Jay nodded, seeing that he could throw his axe at something, a deer maybe, and get that. Jay pressed a button with the symbol of a deer on it, and then a deer appeared in the trees away from him. Jay became silent, his breath becoming slower and more shallow so the dear couldn't hear. He took some leaves off the ground and brushed them along his body, masking his scent. Jay looked, spotting the deer's face through a grove of bushes. He stepped on the grass, feeling like a soft green pillow beneath his feet. Jay fixed himself in a position and then put his axe behind his back. He breathed, closing one eye and steadied his shaking hand. He released it. The metal axe flew through the air and hit the deer in the side, which then fell to the ground and dissolved. Jay smiled, proud of himself. Now, time for trapping. An hour had passed, and Jay had gotten himself acustomed with trapping. Another hour passed, and he practiced with his axe until it was time to leave. |

{After the Training Instructer speaks} Rose immediatly went to her weapon of choice, smiling as she looked through the case of knvies, she picked the first 4 knives and held 2 in each hand. She stood perpendicular to the training dummies as she breathed out and thrusted her right arm forward, nailing one knife in the head, and the other right in the heart. A smile crossed her lips as she turned around looking at all the tributes giving them a bright wink. She turned around, this time, her left arm hurls forward as the two knives both land in the chest. She looks up at the game makers and grins as she walks towards Tyler, training with the swords. "Save chopping their heads off for the arena." She winked as she grabbed his arm and dragged him to survival training. "What should we do?" Rose asked Tyler as they reached survival training, "Probably how to make a fire, just to refresh our memories, and making traps, that's all we really need.. But I think if we're going to team with 2 and 4, I think we should talk to them?" Rose nodded and walked towards the fire making station and smiled at the trainer, "After we train?" She asked Tyler as she gathered wood and kindling. {After they trained at Fire making and Trap making} Rose walked over to the District 2 tributes, Clara and Peter, "Hi I'm Rose, and this is Tyler." She smiled. |
