If anyone lives in England, especially more south of England, you should've seen stuff on the news about a really strong storm we are having tonight/tomorrow morning. They're saying it's supposed to be similar to the one we had in 1987, hurricane force winds, terrential rain, flooding etc. I live in the place which is supposed to be worst hit, so I'm quite worried about it. Are you gonna be affected by it? You can discuss your thoughts about the storm here.

Update- 60 trees have fallen on railway tracks. Unfortunatly 5 people have lost their lives, a teenage girl (a tree fell on her static home whilst she was sleeping RIP and a boy who was lost out at sea RIP). Also, two ferries carrying over 400 people are stranded out at sea.

i live in the south east, so hopefully it wont hit too hard

I'm in Kent at the moment and everyone is saying they expect unrooted trees. Uh oh.

Heh, Britain always seem to get the brunt of the storm and Ireland always seem to get the tail end. Although it won't be as strong in Ireland, we're still expecting 80-90 km winds inland and winds in excess of 100km in the coast. Stay safe people!
