Okay so first off I hope I didn't post this on the wrong thread. I could only find a suggestions tab under Transformice so I hoped this would be the right place. Today I was going to make another thread, but when I started out I had no idea what all the buttons were for. Also replying to comments I never know how to use the quote button to reply to or quote some one else.

All I'd really like is a simple tutorial that walks you through what each button does, how to edit a post, and any other forum essentials. It would be so helpful if this was added to the forum then many more people will be able to make better comments, threads and polls.

In the tutorial I think some buttons just need to be named and people will understand them such as changing the color and size although the coding may need to be explained a little. A few other things people should understand are bold, italics,underline and strikethrough. Once again though the coding looks very weird to the newer people on the forum, and I'm sorry if that does not look right, for I too and decently new to the forums.

So to sum up my suggestion the forums (all of them) should have a tutorial covering what each button does and what the coding is.

In a way, this already exists.
Shamousey made a nice thread going over everything about the new forum and its HTML.
It's outdated, though.
Some new buttons have been added after Shamousey made the thread, such as List, Table, and the Horizontal ruler.

That thread was originally just meant to showcase some of the new features and design from the new forums when it was first released, rather than be a guide on how to use it all. I'll try to update it within the next couple of weeks to serve as a general guide and FAQ for the forums as they are now.

I read over Shamousey's thread, and yes it does help with some of the parts of the forum like editing you posts, and what most of the buttons do. The only thing is it mostly just shows them and doesn't tell you how to use them. Although I do think if some is just starting off on the forum, they should definitely read that thread. It show most of the basic so its a good start.
